    That's some fine shooting right there, especially from a battle rifle platform. It looks like you've got a load dialed in for that 17. Nice! I've heard some not so good things about this lower. Maybe check out the Stryker lower if your going to replace the FN lower.

    Great actions and I've owned quite a few and a couple of pre-64 super grades as well. My 51 vintage 06 will shoot ragged little holes with core locks or silvertips. The old model 70 actions are slick as greased owl shit.

    Nothing wrong with core locks they've been killing deer for probably 50 yrs. I've killed a bunch of deer with them myself, like has been mentioned put the bullet in the right place and you've got a dead deer.

    Yes I wouldn't mind getting a hold of one with the mil reticle, but like you said their hard to find and pricey when you do. Although less than an Elcan 1.5x6 but you also have to pick up a good mount and rings. I noticed that, Thanks. Hmm! maybe a US optics?

    Mike you ever use the 1.5x6 on a 308 type platform, and what are your impressions of it if so. I was mainly looking for a really compact type variable optic that was high quality. Do you know if NF is going to be releasing their 2.5x10x24 any time soon? Maybe with the Moar reticle. Thanks,

I'm just curious as to what will happen if or when the officer involved gets cleared of the charges, because he shot a guy who was a weapon...
