    Re: 243 beyond 1100 I think I found the feasible limit of .243 today. I had no problem banging a 12"x12" plate at 1300 yard today but when I moved to my 1400 yard plate it all went to hell. 40' short, then 10' high. I just couldn't hit it with a 107 SMK to save my life.

    Re: 308 (Target/Fun gun) recoil for 5'11" 145lb guy? If 140's in a .260 knock you back a foot you have a technique problem and not really a rifle problem. I was testing a customers 300 WM with hot loads the other day in a 7lb rifle. I shot 65 rounds with no issues.
