    Never had problems with the Burris xtr rings and it's very affordable. I also have a set of SWFA rings (identical to the xtr) and it has also served me well. If you don't mind spending a little more, look into getting seekings rings. There are several in the FS section in various heights...

    I had no idea they have height adjusting straps, genius. Just now looking at their variety of cheek pads and designs makes me want one. Does the cheek cushion have a rubberized or velvety feel to it? I can't tell from the pictures.

    Agree with all the above. I prefer MOA/MOA with 1/4 moa clicks as it is a finer adjustment than 0.1mil clicks (1/4moa=0.25inch(approx) vs 0.1mil=0.36inch both at 100 yards). It is not difficult to switch from one to the other if you decide later. On youtube, search "moa" then "milliradian"...

    Get which ever stock pack feels confortable to your cheeks, then you can insert mousepads underneath till you get your desired height. Works well for me and is comfortable and cost effective.

    Rifle Scopes 30mm scope rings on Savage FCP-SR

    Vortex rings are manufactured by seekins, and seekins rings are excellent aluminum rings. They are the exact same except branded differently. Dont need to spend anymore money on "higher end" rings for a moderate 308 setup. Good luck!

    Shameful... I cant even fathom how someone can screw up not only ordering the correct parts or not forgetting parts, but simply dusting particles off a rifle before sending it out. How can someone install a scope and damage it that badly? It just doesnt make any sense to me.
