    Question on the Midway Shooter's Mat

    My Midway Shooter's Mat arrived today. I bought it in the recent black friday sale. I'm pleased with it and I just wanted to make sure that I am correct in thinking that the strip of wide fabric tape towards the front of the mat is intended to capture the feet of the bipod? Thanks in advance.

    Re: Backpack for the Appalachian trail? I like my late seventies external tube Kelty pack, (when they were still made in the US). I live near the AT, (6 miles away) and have used it over the last 25 years and it is still going strong. I see them occasionally available on ebay.
