What's your favorite caliber for hunting?

I am always reaching for one of my 6.5 creedmoor. I am even to use that cartridge for a black bear hunt in Michigan's Upper Peninsula this year.

    Savage LRP in 6.5 Creedmore

Becareful... many years ago I bought one and now long range hobby is costing me a large percent of my income. Seriously it was a great rifle and very accurate, and could hang with many of my newer custom rifles.

How do you clean your 10/22?

They do make a muzzle end bore guide for heavy barreled 10/22. I have used it for years with great results.

Rifle Scopes Vortex Viper PST Gen II vs SWFA SS - Thoughts?

I recently bought a PST Gen 2 for my trainer and I am more than content with the purchase. Tracking and box testing proved near perfect results and glass is very comparable to my Bushnell ERS. I have also worked with customer service and it met all my expectation. Side note customer service was...

    6.5 CM ammo

Anything from Hornady in the 140grain and up. Every barrel is different but I have had four 6.5 rifles and always come back to Hornady. I do know a lot of people use Prime but I believe the grain is 130. My current rifle from moon with a Bartlein 1-8 barrel loves the new 140ELD Match and 147ELD...

    Christensen Arms ELR

Thanks for the feedback! Sorry I was M.I.A. for a few days trying to get caught up on work. I agree mixed reviews but I am a glad to hear some people are having good accuracy reviews. When you get the BA Vidar, please hit me up with a quick review!

    Need help on a build

I would stay away from a chassis because of weight! I might even think of a different scope for the same reason. As far a caliber both are vary capable for elk. I really like my Leupold VX-6 3-18 for my light hunting rifle. Exposed turrets, lightweight and is great in low light.

    Christensen Arms ELR

Wondering if anyone personally owns or has shot the Christensen Arms ELR. I was thinking about getting one in the 338 Lapua for a double duty gun, hunting/steel out to a mile. I personally have never been behind one of their rifles and wondering if it is a good road to head down. The reason I am...

    Russo Rifle Stock

Talked to Joel Monday and the project is in the works. Great guy to talk to and has been great about sending me info, pics and options. After looking at more of his stocks, I know I am working with one of the best in the industry.

Rifle Scopes Better Glass than S&B?

Spent the day behind the S&B and left the range with a big smile. The upper range clarity is absolutely amazing, even past a 1000 yards was picking up details on the steel that I have never been able to see with different glass. Another big thanks to Eurooptic for helping me pick the right glass!

Always good to hear you made the right decision!

Rifle Scopes Better Glass than S&B?

I actually just ordered a S&B form the great guys over at Eurooptic, but wondering if there is a better glass quality scope. This will be my second PMII 5-25 and I am sure it is going to be as great as my first but so many companies are selling expensive glass! Just wondering if there is better...

    Russo Rifle Stock

Thanks for all the responses, I've have a lot of looking and dreaming to do. I really want to good back to wood, love the feel and the look! I do really like my Whiskey 3 but its just not for me. Its time to put Moon's beautiful creedmoor in a equally beautiful wood style tactical stock!

    Russo Rifle Stock

So I have tried to reach out to Russo rifle stocks and have yet to get a response. Right now I currently have a KRG Whiskey 3 and would love to switch over to a wood style tactical stock. I would like to place a trade ad but I when the HIDE switched again I have lost all my post. I also reached...

    Barrel Twist

I have always had extremely good luck with 1-10 even down to 168. I think the 1-10 gives you more options if you want to experiment with heavier bullets!

Rifle Scopes ADM Mount on semi-auto precision hunting rig?

I have great luck with ADM, great return to zero, great finish and always leaves scopes unharmed.
