    Shooting a 338 Lap... i used to lube the bullet before seating, but i went away from doing that, not sure why, just did. So, do the 1000 yard bench rest shooter tend to WAX the bullet before seating??? Or, is WAX inappropriate and should another type of lube be used ?

    I probably misguided everyone by saying INOX / WD40. I believe now having looked a little more into it, that INOX is very different... it is a completely clear oil, that doesnt leave that same yellow shit that WD does. INOX sponsor the local pistol club here. I'll post up the back of the can...

    i spray INOX (not sure if you have that in America) which is like WD40 down the barrel of my DTA SRS A1 338 LM after i shoot it and put it away, i dont clean the barrel between shooting.... just coat it to protect it. I dont clean out the barrel of the lubricant before shooting, i just shoot...

    spoke to them today, they want to see 5 shots in 338, 5 in 260, then 5 in 338. all video'd. THey claim there hasnt been a single complaint in this regard, so i suspect i have had a brain lapse somewhere along the line in the barrel swapping... i'll try it again, take 2 video cameras to show real...

    tried on a hot bore and cold bore, same same. Will see what DTA says, no doubt it will involve a massive dick around of having to send the gun back for testing or something.

    Yeah, no issues there. Using La Rue 50 cal mounts and a $4000 March Scope. When not changing the barrel, it shoots sub- 0.5 MOA all day, so the scope and mount are behaving perfectly for repeatability.
