Randy ('HateCA') of RD Precision is fantastic to work with and a true class act!

Another bump for Randy, he is an awesome dude. I would not completely trust but a handful of builders on here that have absolutely no CS issues spoken about them, and Randy is one of the good ones. If he is free absolutely consider him for a build.

Geissele SSAE ... Im not digging it. Recomendations?

The CMC trigger is pretty sweet if you want to run single stage. I couldn't get used to my SSA-E, happened to try the CMC and switched the same day. The SSA-E is an awesome trigger, I just couldn't get used to it. Maybe I'd like the SD-E for the flat bow

Why is this considered a "pistol", and not an NFA, SBR?

No need for any apology, I was unaware of any precedence for that and I'm always skeptical until I see good evidence or hear from a source I trust to be educated, and I think you have supported that. My only real concern regarding constructive possession comes when I'm out on BLM land, as every...

Why is this considered a "pistol", and not an NFA, SBR?

I will apologize for any misunderstanding I have caused, and hopefully can correct for that here: Request: Scans of any letters from the BATFE, that pertain to AR pistols - AR15.COM This copy of a letter from the ATF does state that a pistol can be legally built from a stripped lower (that I...

Why is this considered a "pistol", and not an NFA, SBR?

P03 thanks for clarifying that, I was on my phone and didn't re-read what I typed. I did intend to say that you would satisfy constructive possession if you purchased a short upper if you also already owned a rifle lower but no pistol lower. If you own both types or no types you would not...

Why is this considered a "pistol", and not an NFA, SBR?

I would guess after reviewing everything that if you have never built it into a rifle then it should be legal to do.

    Gotta Love ARMSLIST Scammers

I've thought about this before, even on here. Not necessarily that someone had stolen pictures, but that I just wanted to make sure they actually had what they claimed out of pragmatism. If it's an expensive item I'd usually ask for them to print out a piece of paper with some design on it that...

Why is this considered a "pistol", and not an NFA, SBR?

NO, YOU ABSOLUTELY DO NEED TO OWN A PISTOL LOWER TO POSSESS A SHORT BARREL UPPER IF YOU DO NOT OWN AN SBR. It's called constructive possession. Constructive Possession of NFA Firearms ? Red Hands Not Required | The Truth About Guns This link is not directly addressing this specific case, but...

How and how often do you clean your precision gas gun?

I would like to tack on to the polling on this thread; for those of you who wait to clean until you see "accuracy fall off" could you add what the average round count this occurs at and what the change in accuracy is (group size before and after, velocity loss or gain, velocity spread change) if...

    BH Mk262 in stock anywhere?

Southwest Ammo's 77gr SMK loading tends to perform very well where 262 does, if tighter. Might be a little slower, but the precision is definitely there, worth a check.

Mk12 clone or other long range 5.56

Another bump for Monte and Kevin, both are awesome guys who will take care of you. Kevin has SH deals, ask him about them, he hooked me up when I needed glass for my SPR knock off. Wes as MSTN was also a big help and is on here all the time, and helped with some good info. Any one of the three...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock 17 w/ RMR Initial Impressions

What is it like reaquiring the dot after firing? What does your sight picture look like through the course of firing, what does it look like as the dot returns to your target, assuming you had good follow though?

Rifle Scopes Xerowind - Scope That Measures Wind Downrange (No Kidding)

So I have a good one for you guys: Official Site - XeroWind? This comes straight from the DARPA labs, and from what my source (who is involved with the project) tells me it works quite well. I was skeptical, but I'll let it talk for itself. The commercial site just launched, so you guys are...

Stock choice for precision AR. Not the PRS.

I run the same, but wish I could do without the SAPR. Plainly, it isn't as comfortable as the PRS and doesn't afford the same purchase area to control with your support hand. If I were to go back I'd just get the PRS or get my scope lower so I didn't need the height/could use foam padding...

Anyone ever get 'Meh' results with Black Hills 77gr OTM Mk262?

OP I have the same barrel but from Centurion, and mine is about the same with brown box MK262 MOD0, but really likes the 77gr SWA loading, typically below .5 MOA when I don't slap the trigger (I do with my Geissele, I suck). I'm either planning on trying some Copper Creek or just start...
