    Looking For Load Data For 6.5x47 For 130 and 140 Bergers

    For 140 vld's my load is 39.5 grs of H4350. Gets me 2700 fps out of a 22" Rock Creek barrel. This is near max load for my rifle so start low and work your way up. Never tried RL 15 but I have used RL 17 w/ the 140's. I got alot more velocity but (2880 fps. ) but it wasn't near as temp stable...

    How to handle new brass?

    How exactly do you plan on duplicating the size of your fire formed brass with new brass. When it comes to Lapua I load and shoot unless I find a dented case mouth. If I do then I just run an expander ball to make the case mouth round again.

    You can have a upper with a barrel shorter than 16" as long as: A) You have a pistol lower or B) If you don't have a pistol lower then you can't have any rifle lowers or complete rifles in your possession. If you do you can be charged with intent to manufacture an NFA weapon.

    Re: 6.5x47 with 140 AMAX? I'm getting 2725 fps with 39.5 grs of H4350 out of 22" Rock barrel. It's not as accurate as the berger 140 VLD's but I haven't done alot of load development with them. RL 17 will give me 2900+ but it is temp sensitive.
