Rifle Scopes My base is loose again...

Re: My base is loose again... I am pretty sure the holes are deep enough. I can tighten it pretty good and feel the bases are held on tight. Until I take it for a few outings then it gets loose again.

Rifle Scopes My base is loose again...

I noticed that the front of my 2 piece base is loose again. I have had this problem before and had added blue loctite and now the base is loose again. Does anyone have this problem? I think it could be the cleaning agent eating up the loctite. Are there some ways to prevent this from...

I am trying full length size some 308 cases and I am having issues that I hope someone can help. The stroke down to size the case goes relatively easy but the upstroke to pull the button out take a lot of effort? I am using Redding FL sizing dies with carbide button. Does anyone know why and...

Advanced Marksmanship How Much Movement Is Normal?

Re: How Much Movement Is Normal? After the shot is made, is the rifle suppose to stay on target? I have been shooting off the bench with a bag in front and left hand supporting the rear of the rifle. I notice that the rifle jumps quite a bit and my shot tends to walk from shot to shot...

Anyone using military LC 308 brass?

Re: Anyone using military LC 308 brass? Shot in the Dark" thank you sir. I do have a hornady OAL case to use. Last time out,I was having problems with extracting the bolt with 43-44 grains of varget. I will try 40-42 with .5 increments and see which load shoots well.

Anyone using military LC 308 brass?

Re: Anyone using military LC 308 brass? I was loading 42.0 grain varget, 168 grain AMAX at 2.800 OAL and I can tell the bullet was sitting right on top of the powder. Any more charge I would be compressing it. I ended with 2.950 with some loads from 40.0-41.5 grains to be safe. I have not...

Anyone using military LC 308 brass?

I was wondering if anyone is having luck with once-fired 7.62x51/308 LC brass from the military? Can this brass be prepped to be precise for 200 yds or less? I noticed that it has less volume.

    Which chronograph would you recoomend

I am loading for 223 and playing with some load for 308. I think I need a chronograph to get more precise on my loads. Which one would you recommend and which one that is usable for indoors/outdoors. Also, what range of velocity is good for 223 and 308?

What is your favorite powder for 308?

It seems like Varget is hard to find. What is your go to powder now? I have a couple 8 lb jugs of Ramshot TAC and a few lbs of Varget. Is TAC worth a try for this round of should I be using a different powder when my varget runs out. TIA.
