Headspace??? Fired Cases shorter than than unfired cartridges.
Are you using the same set of calipers to measure both the fired and unaired cases? Most all digital calipers have some error in them. Using a go gauge to calibrate mine, I found that they indicated .007 short every time. I’m not sure whether this holds true for dial calipers as well.- tscoz

Ruger Precision Rifle Discussion

Primer seating depth effects on velocity spreads
I use a primer pocket uniformer each loading but after the first time it only serves as a primer pocket cleaner. I’ve never cleaned primer pockets for any reason other than to give me a consistent feel when seating primers. It might provide an incremental improvement in SD/ES but certainly not...- tscoz

In need of some resizing help
I have no intention of trying to change reloading procedures for long time successful users of One Shot but when it comes to new reloaders, I would guess that 75% of those who complain of having a problem with stuck cases, are using One Shot and obviously using it incorrectly. Why does OCW have to be at 100 yards
As MachoKing said, OCW is only looking for velocity flat spots which it measures indirectly by vertical dispersion. If you have a good chronograph you can measure it directly and you don’t need a target at all. The key here is that all shooter (human) error is removed. This is the method...- tscoz

M1 Garand
Don’t shoot full power commercial .30-06 ammo in your M1 unless you install a Schuster adjustable gas plug. Port pressures are too high and it's likely to bend the op rod over time. If you’re going to shoot commercial ammo be sure it’s meant for the Garand.- tscoz
