Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark 5HD 3.6-18x44 is it enough for PRS type shooting

26oz in the 3.6-18 vs 30oz in the 5-25 so not a ton of weight difference. The 3.6-18 is about 3.6" shorter if that matters to you. I shot a couple of PRS matches with the 5-25 in the last month (TMR reticle) and spent more time over 18 power than I did below 5 so for me, I'd for sure get the...

    Seekins HAVAK Precision Rifle

I have a spare 10% off certificate available if anyone is interested. Send me a message if so. Picked up a couple at a match last weekend and am leaning towards using the bigger discount on a 6.5 PRC. Don't need it but sometimes you gotta spend money to save money! ;-)

Rifle Scopes So, what about Leupold Mark 5 ?

I borrowed a buddy's Mark 5 this weekend for a PRS competition and I was very impressed. I was shooting the 5-25 with the TMR reticle on my brand new 6 Dasher. I thought the glass was excellent, it was super easy to set the zero stop on the turret (thankfully since I really didn't have any...

Has anyone tried Walker's Silencer Electronic Ear Plugs

I like these for shooting when I'm by myself and shooting suppressed or even my .223 with no brake. But around a competition with muzzlebrakes and/or a crowded range, these don't do the trick for me. Surprisingly I did find a size combination that fit my ears really well and stayed in.

Magpul has a good sense of humor!

Daka pouches rule. Didn't think I really had any use for any until a friend gave me a couple. Now I can't seem to stop finding uses for them. Very handy and very durable so far.

Hunting & Fishing Looking like a good year in NE Wyoming

Looks like that last bull in line shed already. The other fellas probably won't be long either.

Best Buy It Now Rangefinder >$500

Nikon stabilized 3000 is available now and has proven to range well past 2000 pretty reliably. https://www.scheels.com/p/nikon-monarch-3000-stabilized-rangefinder/01820816556.html

Rifle Scopes So, what about Leupold Mark 5 ?

Yeah, that makes a ton of sense.................. I've actually handled numerous Mark 5's. None of them had 'mushy' clicks.

Rifle Scopes Illumination - who uses it, when, and what for?

I've lived, shot (some PRS competitions), and hunted out West my whole life and I don't ever really recall having a need for an illuminated reticle. Growing up using Leupold 3-9's they didn't have any illumination, and even when I bought a Nightforce NXS years and years ago, I didn't ever even...

Rifle Scopes So, what about Leupold Mark 5 ?

Does anyone know when the CCH is going to be available for the 5-25?

Rifle Scopes Shooting in the rain and wet optics

For that Tillamook match, the only solution would have been to stay inside by the fire. There was no getting around wet glass that day. A dry wipe stuffed inside your shirt to use right before and during your stage was about the only hope to get a sight picture at times.

Rifle Scopes So, what about Leupold Mark 5 ?

Yes, and by most actual reviews it seems the Mark 5 is a pretty decent start.

Rifle Scopes Leupold Mk5 Lineup Pics

I'd maybe wait on jumping to too many conclusions about what a complete piece of shit this thing is until you actually use one. I love the internet overreaction based on very little substance. I got to use one last week. I like it. I imagine others will as well.

    Rifle Scopes Leupold VX-6HD

I've got one (3-18 with TMOA reticle) on my .280AI hunting rifle and I love it. Yes, the turrets aren't as crisp as my NXS but they're clean enough and have tracked without issue and the zero stop is great as well. And for my eyes, the glass has been excellent. Image seems to 'pop' much more...

    Rifle Scopes Buy American?

I figured it was common knowledge the glass wasn't made there. Everything else. For many decades. Like 8 of them. Designed, machines, and assembled. So yeah, I guess not stamped 'made' in America.

    Rifle Scopes Buy American?

Maybe not. Please enlighten me. I assumed as I was walking the factory floor in Beaverton not long ago watching all the components of a scope come off the production line and watching them get assembled they were being made right there. Hmm.... I guess I could have been fooled.

    Howa Barreled Action

I believe Pacific Tool & Gauge was at $250 for those barreled actions. Pretty tempting.

    Rifle Scopes Buy American?

Huh? Leupold has been making scopes in Oregon since the '40's. All but the glass. I won't get into a debate about perceived quality or comparing scopes, but that statement simply isn't anywhere near true.

Rifle Scopes Dissapointed in my Bushnell DMR2!!!

No offense to anyone on this board, but why do people insist on asking internet forums for advice or answers to questions on products they've bought instead of calling either the manufacturer or the vendor they bought it from?!?!!? Call Bushnell or your dealer and talk it through. That...

    Another Proof Research Record

From the article - " On her rifle for the large-bore competitions (Standard and Hunter class) was a PROOF Research medium contour, cut-rifled steel barrel chambered in 6mmBR."
