    Next node for 308

Re: Next node for 308 With a 168 right below 46 is my most consistent accuracy node with Varget. Also just shy of 44 is tight too, just not as consistent.

    260 Rem powder

Re: 260 Rem powder So your saying H4350 for lighter pills and H414 and H4831 for heavier? I haven't ordered bullets yet but I've been looking at the Hornady 123 Amax and Sierra 140's. I have been looking at the Bergers target and hunting vld also. They appear to look identicle. Thanks for...

    260 Rem powder

I will be loading for my 260 bolt gun in about a month. For now I'll be stocking up on components so I can hit the ground running when it shows up. It seems as though H4350 is the powder of choice, any others that are known to be good as well. Thanks for any input.

    Hornady Concentricity tool

Re: Hornady Concentricity tool I have one and it's great. Most the other ones you have to hold the case with one finger and spin it with another. The Hornady unit just put it in and spin away. For the 100 bucks you pay it's definately worth it.

aftermark stock for savage 12FV 223

Re: aftermark stock for savage 12FV 223 I second Kevin at Stokade. He does some really great work, and his customer service is A number 1. He's built one 308 for me and I'm having him building me a 260 from the ground up now.

National Match or 308 win dies for a gas gun?

Re: National Match or 308 win dies for a gas gun? I know the N Match dies will size a little more than a standard die, not sure if it's the same amount as a small base die. I have heard the Forster size die has the expander ball is higher up in the die than most all other dies, the case is...

    6mm AR, need some imput.

Re: 6mm AR, need some imput. Havn't got it yet. but when I get it up and running I'll post up about it. It's supposed to have an edge on the .264 so I opted for one.

    6mm AR, need some imput.

Re: 6mm AR, need some imput. http://www.6mmar.com/ I was really considering one of these, 6mmAR, but decided on a 6.5BR from AR Performance. Grendal brass is pretty pricey but I'd imagine you could neck down some 7.62x39 brass, not really sure if it will work though.

Re: lee turret press deluxe powder measure???? I have the pro auto disk for mine, but soon after rigged up a uniflow with a Hornady case activated powder drop and the powder funnels instead of the ptx insert. It works awesome, I can dial in any charge and not limited to the set cavity amount.

Remington 700 SPS Tactical Vs. Savage 10 PC

Re: Remington 700 SPS Tactical Vs. Savage 10 PC Lafayette put it very well, lots of places make Savage goodies. The floating bolt head is a great design, I believe Shilen and I know Big Horn custom actions are doing the same thing. The barrel nut is great too. Want a ciliber swap just change...

Savage Model 10 FCP HS Precision AT

Re: Savage Model 10 FCP HS Precision AT I haven't personelly done buisness with SSS but heard enough horror stories about wait times and getting an honest responce. I had Kevin Rayhill at Stockade Gun Stocks do work on my 10FCP and am extremely pleased with his work and customer service. His...

DE 44 MAG LOAD ISSUES - ASKING FOR ADVISE

Re: DE 44 MAG LOAD ISSUES - ASKING FOR ADVISE Definately stick with jacketed bullets. If you can find them get the 250 packs of Nosler 240gr hollow points. If you buy in bulk I think Montana Golds 1000 packs of 240's are like &175.00. For target shooting I usually load 22.5 of H110. Not to...

    Help with load

Re: Help with load I myself have loaded up to just over 45 with that same brass, primers and the 168 CC. Reading primers is real hard for looking for PSI. If the bolt hard to lift after firing that's a pretty good indication your at or nearing max. You should be fine at that charge, even...

    Hornady case prep center

Any of you guy's have one of these? I'm thinking of getting one but wanted some feedback first. Do you have to use the Hornady pilots and shell holders or will my RCBS ones work? Thanks and hope you all had a merry Christmas.

    Stiller or Surgeon

I've been thinking of buying either a Stiller Tac 30 or maybe a RSR. Both are about the same price and I haven't heard anything real bad about either. What are the pros and cons of these 2 for those that own them? It will end up as a 260 more than likely.

Re: Measuring OAL with the Hornady LNL chamber tool http://www.hornady.com/store/Lock-N-Load-OAL-Gauge-Curved-1-Each/ This is the one I bought. If you look closley you can see a notch in the base of the tool where the caliper jaw fits into. the other side is where the comperator goes around...

Measuring OAL with the Hornady LNL chamber tool

I just purchased this to check distance to the lands. I used to do this the old fashion way but thought I'd give this tool a try. I bought the curved one so I could do auto's as well as my bolts. I must say it works real good except when I go to measure the case. You can't get the cartridge to...
