    Smart Phone Apps...

I suppose I'm a bit out of the loop as I haven't looked at any new apps for a while, but Bulletflight has worked well for me. It has a huge library of bullets, is very easy to use, will transmit your weather info for you, and has been pretty accurate so far. I have it on an iPhone, so not sure...

best overall bolt action rifle for around $800?

The T3 seems like it would be a good place to start. I helped a friend do some load development and was really impressed with the rifle. Also shot a 270 WSM at the range and again was impressed. A used Remington 700 would be another good option.

    IMR 4064 Pricing

I'd also say that is a little high. I bought an 8 lb. keg a couple months ago and it was $222 after tax, shipping, and hazmat.

Opinions on building a "different" LR rifle

I've enjoyed the 6.5x55 that I have. It's a very light recoiling caliber for how much it can offer. And having the option to buy Lapua brass is always a plus.

    What brass to choose

If you already have all that brass, may as well use the best, which IMO is the Lapua. You could probably sell some of the other brass on this website to recoup some of your money. p.s. That was nice of you to help out your friend. The shooting community is full of good people!

Primers - How much of a difference do they make?

I've not been able to see any difference in groups size at all between match and standard. That being said, if you can get a good deal on match primers and they give you some added confidence, go for it. Last time I bought LR primers, a local store was selling CCI match for $60 per 1000...

help! reloading .308 and have newbie bullet weight questions!

Hi Nick, welcome to the Hide and to the wonderful world of reloading. Ok, first off, you are fine loading on your Dillon. I have had excellent results with my 550. One person will say they don't work for precision ammo and you must load on a single stage to get the best ammo. The next...
