Anyone know of gary eliseo? dude who makes the eliseo chassis?

I should be getting a chassis any day now. Gary was extremely responsive to emails and has displayed excellent customer service. I'm excited to try out a Dasher in his 6BR based mags.

Gunsmithing Converting AICS Mags..... need help!

I've tried some without filling in the holes, and the mags did not feed reliably in my experience. When the rounds slide forward under recoil, the bullets get stuck in the holes and jam up everything.

6 BR Compared to the 6.5X47 Lapua.

Say wat you want about your intent, but after reading post after post about your "6 Creed", it was easy to tell what you were trying to pull. This thread wasn't even about a 6 Creedmoor until you had to start trying to prove it was superior.... like you always do. You've already misinformed...

6 BR Compared to the 6.5X47 Lapua.

Maybe not talk about it EVERY SINGLE POST you make on here. Also, you were trying to call out Temp9 out as being wrong when he stated the ballistics were similar, and he was correct in that statement. I proved he was right and you were wrong. Nothing getting to me down here, just trying to cut...

6 BR Compared to the 6.5X47 Lapua.

To say I'm tired of hearing about your 6 Creedmoor would be an understatement. To make it comparable we can talk about a 6.5x47 with a 28'' barrel. You could do 130 JLK's at 2950 FPS or 140 JLK's or Hybrids (both great bullets) at 2850 FPS. Drop and wind at 1000 yards and 3000 DA 15 MPH wind...

6 BR Compared to the 6.5X47 Lapua.

If you go with a single shot choose the 6BR and if you go with a repeater choose the 6.5x47. They are both great rounds, but you will likely have feeding problems with the BR if you try to make it a repeater.

    Two Stage Trigger

Unless he changed his design it isn't a 2 stage. It is actually a set trigger. If you have one pull through the first stage, then let off. You will feel that there is now no weight in the first stage. You can re-set the first stage by flipping your safety on and then back off, or opening and...

Gunsmithing Can installing a muzzle brake decrease accuracy?

It can definetly change the harmonics of a barrel, but it shouldn't help or hurt the level of accuracy your rifle is capable of. It's very possible a load that shot well before will have to be tweaked once you install the brake.

    Gunsmithing AI Action threads

You're right. I have only worked on short action AW's. They are M27x2.0.

Range Report Bullet Pointing Question Horndy 6mm 105 BTHP Match Bullet

Add about 5% to the factory BC and it will be pretty close. You gain anywhere from about 4%-7% when pointing.

    Gunsmithing AI Action threads

M27x2.0 is what they are on an AW.

Custom Actions: Integral rail and LR

You can always add in a mount with as much as 45 moa built into it. Then you basically have a 65 moa mount.

    .223ai with 80gr A-max's, rebarreling question

I definitely wouldn't go over 24'' in 223AI if you are going to run a can. It would be extremely long, and you aren't burning enough powder to gain much velocity with a long barrel. If it were mine I would probably finish it at 22''.

    Gunsmithing 5r Chambering issues

5R barrels definitely will chatter (a small amount) with a standard HSS reamer. With that said, the ones I've built have all shot extremely well.

AI AX338 VS DTA SRS 338 or MRAD

Good choice. It is definitely the best rifle out of the 3 you listed.

6mm Caliber Barrel life and Caliber Choice (6CM/6XC/.243, etc)

Any 6 will be tough on barrels. The XC and 47 are the all around winners in the 6's when looking at brass quality, case efficiency, case design, and reliably feeding out of a mag.

Do I have this figured out, or am I out to lunch?

I think you will see how helpful they are for working up a load after you use it a few times. If you are wanting to get into one on the cheap, here is one I have heard several good things about. I've never used one personally, but you wouldn't be out much if it sucked. Competition Electronics...

Do I have this figured out, or am I out to lunch?

If you are going to be serious about this game you need one. Determining my velocity is one of the last things I rely on my chronograph for. Determining ES's to eliminate vertical at 1000+ is where they really shine.

    How to choose a bullet?

I agree with this. I also look at one other factor though, Rt/R. Litz Publishes this with all of the bullets he tests and is basically a measure of how secant/tangent the ogive of the bullet is. I feel it can effectively be used to determine how easy the bullet will be to tune and how often you...

Do I have this figured out, or am I out to lunch?

This was my exact thought when reading the post. I like to go to 1200 to confirm my drop tables.
