    Midway notification list has been good for me, not specifically for reloading stuff, but in general. Just be prepared to jump on their site and by RIGHT AWAY. I've seen stuff be gone in ~5 minutes after I got an in stock alert.

    Forster Co Ax the right step for my knowledge/situation?

    Single stage is a great way to learn. While it's perfect for 308 precision rounds it will get tedious real fast doing something like 9mm. (Just think of your typical firing schedule with 9mm vs 308) As far as single stage presses the Co-Ax is supposed to be one of, if not THE best.

    There are some 600 yard ranges in NH. But I've heard of nothing in the 1000 yard range.

    The problem is that there are very few GUN SMITHS out there, but lots of "gun smiths". Sounds like you did your research though and he came recommended.

    AICS/AX compatible trigger

    Ironically that's what I've had in most my guns, either Jewell or Timney. I've never seen a variant with a longer shoe, but that's exactly what I need.

    AICS/AX compatible trigger

    I feel that most Remington 700 triggers are a little too short for the AI trigger guard. Are there any options that are longer and thus look more proportionate in an AICS/AX chassis?
