    Re: Savage bolt question Pretty typical. But with some time it should be less "tough" as you work the bolt more. You can also try a lift kit and a longer bolt handle. Both Sharp Shooter Supply or Stockad can help you. I believe the lift kit from Stockad is only a few dollars.
