Re: 260 rem vs 260 ackley I had both also. The AI netted me 50-100 fps with the same charge weight, depending on which powder I used, slower powder= more gain. This was with the same barrel, but one inch shorter barrel length on the AI. Cut the tenon off and re-chambered to AI after 1700...- B. Harvey

Re: Average hunter skills Have a friend that I'll refer to as 'Sarge' that I have seen on several occasions, shoot a 1.5" and less, 3 shot group at 500 yds, from the kneeling position. He is a shooter but an even better hunter. And no, I cannot come close to his results in real field shooting.- B. Harvey
