Haha you woulda kicked my ass though Todd! Usafabrad, most of us don't use factory ammo, it's not as accurate as hand loading. Next Saturday is the ncpprc practice if you'd like to come! It's a ton of fun, guaranteed to get you hooked. All you really need is about 5 rounds for each yardage...

    Lee die scratches on neck

Polishing it will be pretty easy. I'm just curious if those scratch marks on the cases will affect ballistic accuracy, or damage my chamber Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lee die scratches on neck

Hey guys, so I get scratches on the necks of my cases (positive that its carbon buildup). I can clean it out, but after a few rounds it happens again. My question isn't how to fix the issue, but does it affect accuracy? What I was doing was just cleaning up the scratch marks with steel wool...

I jumped into reloading when I was like 19, started with .223 (destroyed plenty of cases!). I'm 25 now, and I've got my reloading down pretty well. I just use a lee kit, and I got 2nd place at the Folsom midrange championship for the tactical class. So I must be doin something right eh? Lol...

F T/R Competition It's March Madness! 3weeks of F-Class matches at Sacramento Valley Shooting Center

Thanks dude! I'm excited about the upcoming matches. I'd really like to get to try shooting in high winds, I want to learn as much as I can about windage. Are you going to the practice/match in a couple weeks? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    .308 Winchester

175gr SMK at 2580 FPS will be 1175 fps at 1000 yards at sea level, around 70 degrees. Subsonic is around 1150 fps, so don't worry about that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No need to get the 3 die set. Since you're getting the seating micrometer anyway, just get the FL sizer. For bolt actions, we don't crimp (competitive shooters don't crimp) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    AR 16 or 18" barrel

No clue where that is. The military even trains soldiers with that knowledge. The m16 is less accurate than the m4, due to barrel length. My 20" remmy 700 tactical is more accurate than a 24", and I'm thinking about going with an 18" next. You get less velocity, however. GPS defense sniper...

For under $300 total, you can start off fine... Lee challenger kit ($100), .308 dies ($35), lee case trimmer and case length gauge ($20). That's all you really need to start. Add the lee zip trim ($18) and a tumbler ($40+) and you've got just about everything. I actually just used to polish my...

Same here, I love .45 on the LnL cause we don't have to trim or anything. Good idea in using the LnL to resize and deprive though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
