Re: FNAR Much Needed Modification
Your new stock and grip setup looks good.
It appears to be aluminum. Do you have a mill/lathe? Or did you do that with more normal tools such as dremel, band saw, drill press, and grinder?
Re: T/c dimension
Thompsons are good guns.
Several of the guys I shoot with have them because they can change the calibers around.
They are quite accurate, and they seem to be reliable.
Re: Thinking about getting into 308 reloading.
Reloading can help bring the cost down.
I started shooting a lot when I got into competitions for pistol and 3 gun, and so I was loading a lot. However, when my rounds per month went through the roof, you guessed it, my overall cost was higher...
Re: JAE 700 stock...rocks! :)
They are nice.
I had one on am M14 at one point. (Bought the rifle with the stock on it so no wait for me).
The fit and finish was great, and the ergonomics were excellent for me.
I only sold the gun due to wanting a AR based platform.
They are on the short...
Re: .308 to 1000, 1178, 1385, 1650 and 1950 meters.
Nice shooting.
Nice Range.
Nice Rifle.
Need any shooting buddies? lol.
Just goes to prove that a lot of the "conventions" are wrong.
Re: 900 yards. Video
Yeah. The fence would say thank you for taking the targets off of it.
Blasers are good accurate guns, but they just aren't the same kind of animal as an AI.
Re: Say hello to my little friend
Interesting.
I wouldn't have thought of making a "precision" machine gun. But I guess innovation is necessary.
And as was said, I wouldn't want to foot the ammo bill.
Re: Made it out to 1200 yds
Looks like a great place to shoot.
Nice shooting, and oh, btw - you're now addicted. At least for me it only took one hit at 1000 to get me addicted to this version of the shooting game.
Re: Start of New Range
Looks like fun to me.
I think the idea of having it in the trees is awesome. The wind brake alone of the trees would make it worth it.
I'll be very curious to see the end result.
Re: 16" target at 1650 last weekend
We use one of our buddies 4 wheelers to go fetch targets and setup when we are shooting at any length of distance.
Typically we can get it accomplished much faster than in my truck or either of my brothers. The 4 wheeler just seems to handle running...
Re: Remington 700 AAC-SD
As long as you are choosing your bullet weight properly for the twist of the barrel, you shouldn't get any keyholing.
As Quiet mentioned, they are going to drop a lot though.
Re: 5r milspec
Great guns to get started with. They are extremely accurate, and they hold their value.
I had one for a while, but due to my obsession of tinkering with guns, I quickly went to savages so I can rebarrel easily at home.
