    Re: Remington 700 LTR extractor problem Also check to see if the front action screw is touching the bottom recoil lug on the bolt. Or the scope base screw is touching the bolt . Some times a burr will form at the top rear of the action where the bolt cams up and rearward at the same time...

    Re: Set Back Questions I have found that after setting a shouder back , that the barrel shoots better than the first chambering . Could be from the throat wear that that the lands are tapered and it is easyer on the bullet. Howard

    Re: What about a rem 788?? The actions have smaller magazine and ejection port cut outs which makes for a stiffer action . The 788 barrel is threads into the action about 1.25 versus .700 on the 700 action . If I remember correctly the 788 has a faster firing pin lock time . Howard
