    is 17HMR worth the extra ammo cost?

    So is all the hype about a 17HMR worth twice the cost of a 17mach 2? was looking i not getting one but ammo seemed alot higher than standard Long rifle 22... i guess good for squirrels, rabbits, but doesn't seem large enough for Jack rabbits.

    Cleaning your barrel

    So i heard this guy speak about how often he cleans his barrel. he said he cleaned his 308 MAYBE every 800-1000 rounds. is this normal for long range shooting.... InBeen brought up to clean your barrel after every hunt, or time in the field.
