    I'm not super in the know but I believe with a 1 in 10 twist the 87 vmax won't be at their full BC potential. When I ran stability calc I found the Sierra 85 gr BtHP to be the best and most efficient use of twist for bullet weight. And in my understanding the 87 vmax at similar velocities...

    All I can afford is a lowly nightforce so this was purely an inquiry of curiosity. But to address some comments... Everything I shoot is 2nd FP because everything goes hunting and I do not like the small reticles at low end mag.

    I was using nightforce mediums (1") on th atacr and lows (. 885") on the nxs... I could get lower with apa lows but I'd have to cut off the front of my front rail.

    The nxs Def looked less awkward on the rifle. I'm not to concerned with looks as I am with low light performance. But that nxs has a little more forgiving eye relief and is some cheaper...pluss allows for a lower mounting profile.

    Did some playing around tonight. Put the 4-16x50 atacr on my rifle and an nxs just to see how it would balance. Store didnt have a 3.5-15x50 nxs so I put a longer 5.5-22x50 on it just to see. Nxs: ATACR:

    Which RF for newbie?

    The Current 2700 does not, correct. Sorry if my post was unclear. I was referring to the next one that comes out, since there seems to be a consensus that it will talk to a kestrel. That's the one I would be waiting for....
