    Issue with Federal GMM brass

    Went out and sorted all my of GMM brass and found 7 more of them that are crimped. You can see the crimp well while looking at the primer. I deprimed 150 of the actual 308 GMM brass with zero crimp ring left. Luckily I am reloading only now so no worries about the crimp any longer.

    I did. This is a brand new RCBS die set. The very first piece of brass I de-primed did this. Out of 50 pieces I de-primed and resized I only had 15 that I could use that did not have this rim left in them.

    To Muzzle Brake or NOT to muzzle brake.

    I run breaks on my 300 WM, 308 and Ill be putting one on the 6.5 Im building this year. The way I see it is go ahead and thread it and instal whatever break of your choice. If you start shooting it and do not like it you can also remove it and install a thread protector.

    What Do I Need To Get Started

    Id recommend going out with the gear you have now and then itll be a good eye opener as to what youll need. You may spend a ton of cash on gear that you "think" you need or will work for your needs but once you get out and use it that may change.
