    Geissele Super Duty Rifle

I'm not a G fanboi. I do like their triggers and rails though. The rail bend thing appears to be a function of the light weight and slimmed down nature of the MK16 rail. The instances of "bend" appear to be when a MAWLs unit is placed in close proximity to the gas block on this specific rail...

    High Caliber Sales MK12

You won't go wrong with Centurion Arms. But I'd not turn my nose up at a PRI Mk12 either.

Best 9mm pistol or carbine options

As others have stated, the CZ Scorpion is what you are looking for. Affordable, significant aftermarket support, uber-reliable, cheap magazines, and fun. My scorpion has been 100% over a thousand rounds of mixed suppressed and unsuppressed. It just flat runs. And it suppresses very well...

    Suggestions from anyone running a 7.5" 556...

I have two 7.5 inch AR barrels. Both are Ballistic Advantage. One is a Hansen and the other the cheaper modern series I bought on clearance for a song. On the Hansen build, I have an SLR AGB, Echo trigger, and Dead Air Sandman FS. I run both a Sandman K and Pyro on it (when i want a light...

Trigger upgrade - best 2 stage for 2020?

Roger that. At the risk of being argumentative, I would submit the MBT is closer to half the price of the SSA vice 1/3. One just has to know when and where to look. But your point still stands. The MBT appears to be made out of "better" materials if one thinks tool steel is superior to...

Trigger upgrade - best 2 stage for 2020?

I agree it is nicely made out of quality components. But you ain't consistently getting a sub 4-pound pull from an MBT. The point I was trying to make is that the MBT is essentially laRue's counter to the G SSA. It feels a bit different than the SSA. Not better. Not worse. Just different...

Trigger upgrade - best 2 stage for 2020?

The MBT is a fair trigger...particularly for the price. I won't argue that. It is a good option if one wanted an SSA. But it is not an SSA-E. And it is not even in the same realm of discussion as the HSNM. I have them all. For a precision AR, the HSNM is where its at.

What are your favorite 7.62x51 /.308 semi autos

I just don't understand why folks get so defensive over the M14. It is undeniably a flawed, antiquated and compromised design that has been left to history by more modern weapon systems. It is what it is. They have wonderful sights and can be fun to shoot, though. So, if we ignore...

Rifle Scopes Alternative to Nightforce NXS??

I have both the NXS 2.5-10x42 and Mk5 3.6. I like the glass better on the Mk5 a hair better. The footprint on the NXS is noticeably smaller though.

What are your favorite 7.62x51 /.308 semi autos

Depends upon what your needs might be. Battle rifle? SCAR17, KAC ECC/ACC, or LMT MWS. Precision rifle? JP SLR-07, GAP10, or KAC SR25 LR.

    Large frame Buffer question

My 18 inch SPR with A5 and AGB is incredibly smooth and pleasant to shoot. Almost a gentle twitch versus actual recoil. Much, much smoother recoil impulse than my 10.5 gun....and the 10.5 ain't a big deal.

One .308 to rule them all

The entire suppressed thing has me holding off on the SCAR platform. If not, I'd take the SCAR-17 as likely the best "battle-rifle" 7.62 on the planet. But I'd look elsewhere if I want something for precision.

    What's everyone's favorite AR10 charging handle?

Absolute best thing about a side charger is that gas to the face when running suppressed becomes a non-event. Switching back and forth between systems really highlights the benefit.

    Large frame Buffer question

If you decide to go with the SCS, you might contemplate going with the H2 version. My 20 inch .308 LRP-07 needed the heavy version to work reliably (FMOS BCG). Very smooth and no twang.

.223 match factory ammo recommendation for a gas gun.

I've run circa 10 different factory match loads through my Bartlein 18inch SPR. It likes FGMM 69 and 77 gr, sig 77 gr OTM, and 77 grain SMK BH .223. It is consistently .5 MOA (or less in some instances) with those rounds. It opens up to .5-1 MOA with .77 gr TMK BH, 69 gr Outback, 75gr...

    Kowa 554 mini-review

I recently picked up a Kowa TSN-554 15-45x55 spotter and had my first opportunity to take it to the range this past weekend. I paired it with a compact, carbon fiber Sirui table top tripod that the boys over at Cameraland sold me for a really nice price. At one member's...

    BUIS alternatives

My favorite BUIS is KAC. They do what you want them to do and work. The magpul pro's also seem excellent and have been spotted downrange being run by some high speed dudes. That being said, my two most recent ARs sport 45 degree offset KACs and a trijicon RMR, respectively. After using...
