    Barre cut down?

Thanks. It's definitely going to adco. I've always read positive things about them. It's been shooting 69gr smk great. Wasnt sure how much of a reduction in muzzle velocity I would see going to an 18. Wanted get some opinions before I filled out the adco form online. I plan on taking the barrel...

Looking to get a new beam scale

Thanks for the replies. Going to keep an eye out on eBay. Don't mind going a little over budget, just want something good that would last. I'll my research has lead me to rcbs but it just sucks the newer ones are no longer made in the USA. I get mixed reviews on the other brands. Once thinking...

Looking to get a new beam scale

Just as the title says. Looking to get a good beam scale. I've tried the search and the rcbs 505 got good reviews but, I've also read they are now made in Mexico. Don't want that. Been looking at the Hornady which is made in the USA. Also looking at the dillon, though not sure where it's made...

Need some quick copper removal help

Thanks for the help. Used the gunslick foam. It took 2 applications, letting it sit for about 20-25 minutes each. Barrel looks super clean with no more copper traces. Followed up with some mpro7 clp down the bore. Should be good to go.

Need some quick copper removal help

Recently picked up a new hunting rifle. Been sighting it in a have around 80-90 rounds through it. I have been cleaning it with some mpro7 products but recently the accuracy has really dropped off. Upon inspection the barrel has a lot of copper fouling. Mpro7 copper remover does not seem to...

Need trigger choice help rem 700

He has a r700 also in 7mm mag. The trigger was touching the left side. I had to remove about 1/32" of material to get good clearance. If it would've been positioned center it it probably would have cleared. I guess some rifles fit a little different. Maybe I will just chance it and get the 510...

Need trigger choice help rem 700

Been doing a little more research and see the timney 517 has a flat trigger. It looks slimmer than the 510 but can't be 100% sure from looking at the pics. Anyone have the 517, and can you confirm if the trigger is slimmer? Looking for a direct drop in and don't want to have to widen the bottom...

Need trigger choice help rem 700

Looking to upgrade my trigger on my 700 sps. 270. This is my hunting rifle and was looking for something $150 or less. I know a lot like timney and I just put one on a buddy's rifle. Nice trigger for sure but, I wasn't really a fan of the width. Had to widen the bottom medal to fit. No big deal...

Opinions on hogue pillar bedded stock without a bipod.

I have a b&c on a different rifle, my sps tactical. I was just referring to that rifle because it originally came with a hogue. The rifle I'm looking for the stock for is a long action sps detach mag. Didn't see many options because this is a dm model. Trying to keep this one as a budget hunting...

Opinions on hogue pillar bedded stock without a bipod.

I've been looking but, it seems the take offs are not for the dm model. Trying to keep things cheap. I've seen the full bedded hogue but just wasn't sure if it were worth the extra money since I won't be using a bipod on the front.

Opinions on hogue pillar bedded stock without a bipod.

Just got an excellent deal on a Remington 700 sps dm in 270. I bought this to be my low budget hunting rig. Don't want to put a lot of money in but, definitely want to change out the cheap factory stock. I liked the feel of the hogue that came on my sps tactical 308, but changed it out for a b&c...

Rem 700 sps 270 dnz scope mount?

Customer service said the low would fit. But they were unsure about the x-low. If the x-low works I would like to choose them to keep the scope as low as possible. Was curious if anyone had tried it yet. This is the one I was looking at...

Rem 700 sps 270 dnz scope mount?

Just curious if any has tried the dnz x low mount on this rifle. Looking to mount a nikon prostaff 3-9x40 and want to get the scope as low as I possible can. I have nowhere I can test fit on so I'm limited to ordering online. Just want to make sure it'll work before placing the order.

    Headspacing AR

Re: Headspacing AR Unless you are ordering a barrel which includes a headspaced bolt, I would recommend checking headspace. For the minimal cost of the guages it's better to be safe than sorry. Headspace has nothing to do with what type of rifle your building.
