    .223 brass question

Re: .223 brass question I agree with the other two comments about tac being dirty. I recently wrote about my problems with tac completely fouling my barrel in about 30 rounds on my .308. I can usually get hundreds of rounds with varget loads before I am forced to clean the barrel.

Need a set of quality reloading dies.

Re: Need a set of quality reloading dies. I have rcbs, lee, hornady, and redding dies. The lee dies are a about 12 years old, and seem to be a better quality than the newer hornady, rcbs, and redding dies. However, I do have a newer redding competion die, and it is my favorite. Very smooth...

    Lapua 155's only 154.2?

Re: Lapua 155's only 154.2? I have had a smiler weight range, but mine were + - .3 grain variance in a 100 count box, which seemed high to me. I would like to know what load you come up with. I couldn't find anything too impressive. It is a great round, just wish I could get it shooting in my...

    RCBS Charge Master

Re: RCBS Charge Master Anyone feeding varget through the cm? It takes me about 120-130 dispenses in order for me to get 75 exact loads. Don't have the problems with the finer powders

Recomondations for an AR 15 varmint bullet ?

Re: Recomondations for an AR 15 varmint bullet ? +1 on the 69 smk's. Used lc brass just cause I had it. 24.0-25.0 gr varget may be a good starting point. 77 smk was eratic with my 9 twist. If you are shooting a lot, you may consider black hills blue box. It shoots great in my gun, and I...

    COAL Question.

Re: COAL Question. Will you be loading the mag or single feeding? You will need to stay within your published coal (or measure the actual mag length) in order to mag feed. I only mag feed the hunting rifle, and single feed the match rifle.

    Need a 308 do-all bullet

Re: Need a 308 do-all bullet +1 on the 165 accubonds. May not be a match round, but have stayed tight out to 400 yards through load development with my hunting rifle. I believe shot placement is just as important as the bullet used

    Reloading for .308

Re: Reloading for .308 I have done a lot of .308 development this year in 10, 11.25, and 12 twist barrels. I have been using mostly fgmm brass with some lapua. Fgmm brass has been around 177gr range, and lapua has been in the 172gr range. I have been trying all types of cci primers. Bullets...
