Re: BSA ffp/mil-mil scope Well I got my scope and rifle and have had a little time to do some testing, so as promised, here is my review of the scope. First a pic of the rig. Savage TRR-SR with BSA FFP MIL-MIL scope. I performed this box test at 25yrd. The corner dots are about 5.5in...

    22LR vs 17HMR

Re: 22LR vs 17HMR Get both is a great idea if I had unlimited funds. The comparison wasn't really "cheap" vs "fast" although I admit that is how it reads. I was really wondering if the 17HMR is enough better ballistically than the .22 to make it worth the extra money to shoot. Its really...

    22LR vs 17HMR

I am in the market for a trainer and am looking for some input on the best calibre. The 22 ammo is definitely cheaper but 17 is way faster. I don't know much about the 17HMR downrange ballistics. Anyone have thoughts or experience on this topic?

Some help on 178gr A-Max load

Re: Some help on 178gr A-Max load Well I tried 42.6gr and 42.8gr and both shot sub MOA. Velocity on the 42.8 was around 2680. I think I will just shoot this for a little while and see how it works at longer range. The chrono may be lying to me. This velocity seems a little high for the...
