    Leupold Mark 5HD 3.5-18 is what i would recommend (5-25 is also an option). Take your pick of MIL or MOA reticle, because it comes in both. Can't beat a Leupold for hunting! They usually are the best in class for weight and low light gathering ability.

    The VX-3i LRP comes in MOA/MOA, but if Brado16 is correct, i would wait for the Mk5 in MOA.

    Rifle Scopes NF ATACR 4-16 vs Leupold MK5 3.6-18

    I compared them in low light conditions (illumination turned off) and the ATACR did not do as well as the Leupold. The ATACR image was washed out and the reticle was tough to distinguish. Can't go wrong with either choice, but i would go with the Mark 5HD.

    It tough to beat a Leupold for a hunting scope. Generally the lightest weight and best lowlight performance. I also like SFP for hunting (Vx-3i, VX-5/6HD). If you wanted FFP, the Mark 5HD 3-18 or the VX-3i LRP.

    The VX-5HD is a top-tier hunting scope. Leupold has completely redone all their product lines within the last few years. If you haven't looked though a Mark 5HD/VX-6HD/VX-5HD i can understand your headline, but you are missing out. I would highly recommend the VX-5HD for a hunting scope.

    Honestly, i would go with Leupold VX-5HD or VX-6HD for a hunting scope over either of those. The glass is comparable with all the top tier scopes, but outperforms them in low light and glare situations. here is a video comparison between the VX-5HD and a Swarovski Z5.

    You scope should work fine....but if you want to upgrade i would suggest checking out the Mark 5HD 5-25 as well as the other scopes mentioned.
