    This might be a dumb question, but I'm not familiar with the PRC case. If you have a 6.5cm barrel could you re-chamber it to 6.5 PRC? Also is the bolt face of the PRC the same as the 6.5cm?

    I went to Bergers website and entered the info for the 53gr V-max. It says it is good to go with 1:9 twist.     Good point. That is another thing. I was thinking of a 24" barrel, and it will be shot suppressed most of the time. would a 1:10 twist be better? I want to stabilize heavy bullets, yet still be ok shooting the 50gr v-max.

    Did you check out and measure a Ruger m77 mkII action and verify it is the same dimensionally as a ruger american action? Thus ruger american barrels will work fine on an M77? Or does a person need to get a barrel made for a M77 action but with no shoulder, then use a savage/ruger barrel nut?
