What specifically do people not like about AI stocks?

OP, I just received my AE MKIII this week, and have had it at the range twice. I had the same concerns as you. I have two very comfortable stocks for my current rigs, and I was pretty sure I would not be that impressed with the AE stock. But, like you said the prices had come down and I decided...

Sanity Check from the Hide's reloading Gurus.

Thank you for the info. Makes sense. Comparing the FGM and Lapua, there is a .001-.002 difference in the shoulders (measured 5 of each). So it looks like the FGM springs back further than the Lapua.

Sanity Check from the Hide's reloading Gurus.

I have been loading for a few years know (mostly for pistols), and I think I know just enough to get myself in trouble. I would appreciate any help from anyone (most of you, if not all) who knows more than I do. I just received my AI AE MKIII .308 from Mile high this week. This is my first...

Moving to a AUTO PROGRESSIVE.... Need Help/Advice

Its hard to go wrong with Dillon. Their warranty/support has a great reputation. When I first purchase the 550, I had never reloading before and the Dillon folks were great about walking me through the process and suggesting which manuals to get. That was 11 years ago and I am stilling using the...

    Truth about Surgeon Actions?

I recently ordered a rifle from them and was told that they are moving their assemble group to Arizona. They are keeping their manufacturing in OK, but will now have more room to expand the machine shop.

AI AW vs 700 style actions ...which fails more?

Make sense. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I have shot my Sako TRG-22 to death (almost) and Berretta has been less than helpful because the warranty has long since expired. Hence my question.

Sako TRG Lapua Vs Custom. What would you do?

My pleasure. Considering that I purchased the TRG-22 new for $2,400 in 2004, it has been well worth the money. And I learned a ton.

AI AW vs 700 style actions ...which fails more?

Not trolling, just an honest question. Some companies offer a life time warranty (Surgeon). While other don't. Not a big deal. I just wondered why. If honest questions are not appropriate than how do us new guys learn anything?

Sako TRG Lapua Vs Custom. What would you do?

I love my TRG-22. My only complaint is that it is not as easy to get it worked on as is my Rem 700. Gun smiths, where I live, won't touch it, and Berretta is a pain to deal with. I need a new trigger, as mine is having a some issues, and my barrel is almost done. I have found two places in the...

AI AW vs 700 style actions ...which fails more?

Its interesting that AI only has a one year warranty to the original purchaser. With a record of reliability, why limit the warranty to one year?

My disappointing review of my TR .308

OP, I am sorry for your experience, but letting us know is appreciated. I am new to this forum and am in the process of placing my first custom rifle order. Real-world stories, like yours, are a big help to those who are relatively new. I live in the Houston area as well. I was just at PSC...
