    New (to me) Remington 40X

You are right, it does seem easier to measure with less WAG about the center. .457 - .215 = .242"

    New (to me) Remington 40X

Was shooting my weekly small bore match today and after the match got a chance to shoot the new 40X at 50 yards using the Eley Red Box Tenex. Did a bit better than the Eley Black Box Match--.285"

    New (to me) Remington 40X

Thanks, Defender. Both of my Japanese Tasco's have a fine crosshair with center dot.

    New (to me) Remington 40X

Thanks, 68! I'd love to get some SK, but can't find any. I have a few boxes of RWS R-50 and that stuff is great but appears to be unobtanium for now. Any thoughts on how much A different scope would help? I've got Japanese-made Tasco scopes--24X and 6-24X.

    New (to me) Remington 40X

I had a chance to make a quick stop at the range. I was able to zero the rifle and shoot a 5 shot group before I had to leave. Five rounds at 50 yards with Eley black box match--.445" I'm wondering how much the cheap Chinese BSA scope is affecting the precision. Surprisingly, even after being...

    New (to me) Remington 40X

I picked up the 40-X after the 10 day "cooling off" period. I got a chance to look it over and it really looks good. Stock and metal are fine.

    New Winchester 52D

I found a source for Vianni style scope rails for the Winchester 52D's. They are very similar to the Vianni's, but are powder coated rather than anodized. Haven't mounted a scope yet, but it screwed on easy enough. I put this one on a 52D that I glommed last year...

    New (to me) Remington 40X

The 40-X arrived at my FFL. Stock and metal looks great. It went into his safe for the 10 day cooling off period. Better pics when I've "cooled off".

    New Winchester 52D

Got into my FFl to start the paperwork on the 52D. The metal is in fine shape and the stock doesn't look too bad. It is in his safe now for the 10 day "cooling off" period. Better pics when I've "cooled off"

    New Winchester 52D

Interesting. I've got another 52D that I shoot 100y benchrest with. My 40X runs very close to my 52D accuracy-wise. This is my other 52D, above my 52B:

    New Winchester 52D

This has been quite a fruitful month for me with respect to Target .22 rifles. In addition to a Remington 40XB, I also got this Winchester 52D. It is US marked and supposed to include the CMP certificate. Also came with a set of Redfield Olympic sights and a hand stop. Stock is a little...

    New (to me) Remington 40X

Did the XB models come with a thumb-operated safety behind the bolt handle?

    New (to me) Remington 40X

Thanks, guys! The description simply said "remington 40X us 22cal" . Pretty sparse. I'm assuming that it is US Property marked from the description.
