Hunting & Fishing Why are pigs considered an environmental problem?

<---- this idiot hunter would gladly pay or trade out an Illinois white tail hunt to come down and kill some bacon rabbits. Just sayin....

I'm "that guy"with the worst luck with gunsmiths!!!

Freeing from the action from the stock after the glass cures is far from a gentle process. I can see where it wouldnt be hard to chip a stock, especially if it was gelcoated and the smith used too much glass. Me personally, a gun is a tool. I don't particularly care what it looks like as long...

    Very Nice Tikka bolt

looks awesome, I may have to send mine when I get it. Does the cerakote have any effect on how smooth the action runs? I'd hate to ruin the glassy action of a Tikka

Why are poly rifled barrels not more common?

granted they're not bench rest rifles, but arent noveske ar's known for their accuracy? they use polygonal rifling in their barrels. I'm curious as to the real differences too

    SIG 522 .22LR Opinions

No personal experience shooting them but I've handled plenty, I like them over the other tacticool .22's because they were designed from the ground up as a .22 vs a converted ar. They're supposed to be the most accurate tactical .22's other than a tricked out 10/22. It's on the "need to buy"...

Hunting & Fishing The Grendel finally drew blood!

Re: The Grendel finally drew blood! I'd really like to give the 123gr sst's a try compared to the a-max. The effect on coyotes would probably be minimal but it would still be interesting.

    trigger for 6.5 Grendel

Re: trigger for 6.5 Grendel the 3 gun trigger has more of a long smooth roll to it. it was made to shoot fast. I have the geissele dmr trigger in my grendel and it's fantastic. 3 pound first stage and breaks like an icicle with a 1.5 pound second stage.

Hunting & Fishing The Grendel finally drew blood!

Re: The Grendel finally drew blood! The 6.5 Grendel is an absolute joy to shoot. Extremely accurate, low recoil, and the loads I've got worked up are surprisingly quiet. I saw the coyote drop and the first thought through my head was "that wasn't as loud as I thought it'd be!"

Hunting & Fishing The Grendel finally drew blood!

Re: The Grendel finally drew blood! The gun was a project for gunsmithing school. It's a palmetto lower with a magpul prs, larue grip, and geissele dmr trigger. the upper is a white oak with a stainless green mountain barrel I contoured from a blank, chambered in 6.5 grendel, crowned, and...

Hunting & Fishing The Grendel finally drew blood!

I finally put a yote down with the 6.5! Took the half mile hike to my favorite deer spot and set up the call. Sat maybe 10 minutes before I started calling. Made it about a minute through a 2 minute cotton tail calling sequence and had two of them crest a hill about 125 yards out. Yote 1...

    Rifle Scopes reticle colors?

Re: reticle colors? green or amber i think would be my next choices, just wasnt sure if blue was more of a mall ninja or tacticool color
