Swarovski Spotter Optical Quality Differences between STS, STR and STX/ATX?

I currently have a Swaro STS HD 20-60x65 and while it’s a great spotter, I feel like I’m leaving something on the table with the 65mm objective lens. I was debating stepping up to the 80mm housing. This is all for a mix of both long range shooting and outdoor wildlife watching. But it got me...

Is there any optical quality difference between the STX and STR?

    USO Red Dot Sights

Edited for update. The DRS was originally just a rebranded Shield RMS, as per their admission. Originally I mistakenly thought it was another Shield product, but I was able get one of their tech people on the phone and they said that they have shifted all production over to China for the DRS...

Opinions on a $500.00 LPVO for AR

Yeah, the ACSS lower end version that’s the same scope as the Vortex StrikeChicken. The higher end one is their Platinum model, and a good friend of mine has run one since it came out, and he said it’s a pretty decent scope. The Platinum is also made in Japan by Light Optical, whereas the...

Opinions on a $500.00 LPVO for AR

FFP is going to cost extra money to get a comparable optic to a SFP. FFP is also unnecessary below 8x. My first tactical LPVO was a Leupold Mark6 1-6x and while it was mounted on an LMT 308MWS that I used to punch steel out to 600yds and beyond, it was great to have as an FFP reticle...

PRS Talk PRS Production class scope options

I have ExpertVoice pricing/discount access to Bushnell, so the advertised price is really only relevant so much as it qualifies for PRS production class. I know that the XRS2 and NX8 are at the top of the range for PRS production class, and I’m just wondering if there’s anything else comparable...

PRS Talk PRS Production class scope options

Does anyone have updates on what are the most “high end” and best quality scopes that qualify for production class now under the $2k mark? I see that Bushnell now lists the Elite Tactical XRS II 4.5-30x for $1949 on their website. I’m looking at the Bushnell versus the NightForce NX8 2.5-20x50...

Why is Aimpoint ACRO P1 backordered everywhere?

Basically what the title says- does anyone know why the Aimpoint ACRO P1 is backordered everywhere online? Or does anyone have a line on one from a REPUTABLE source? I’m in need of one quickly and it appears to be that I’m in need at the worst possible time.

Where’s the info on this course? I’m in Minneapolis and have at least 1 or 2 other cops that would be interested in this.

    Rifle Scopes USO Warranty

Keep in mind that last week was SHOT Show, and most optic, gun and tactical product companies essentially shut down/massively cut back parts of their service for the week preceeding, the week during, and several days after SHOT. OP, you probably drew the worst time to need warranty service.

Sidearms & Scatterguns What semi auto shotgun for waterfowl hunting?

Benelli has long been a friend to the wrong-handed. I used to sell guns back in 1998 and Benelli had a LH gun back then.

Sidearms & Scatterguns What semi auto shotgun for waterfowl hunting?

The key in the recoil reduction with Benelli is the ComforTech stock. I tested this last year with my SBE1, Ethos (Progressive Comfort stock), My dad’s M2 ComforTech, uncle’s Montefeltro, brother’s Remington 1100 and my Remington 870. Gas does help with recoil reduction, and I’ve previously...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig P320 owners please

I would recommend staying away from the Romeo1. We have been doing a T&E for pistol RDS for 14 months now and have had durability issues with the Romeo1 optics. The only guy still running a Romeo1 is running it on a P320RX. For the X-Five, it’s better to get the Springer adapter and go with...

Sidearms & Scatterguns What semi auto shotgun for waterfowl hunting?

The Benelli Super Vinci with ComforTech stock is going to be one of the softest-recoiling semi-autos. It’s a fantastic shotgun and the recoil control is excellent. If the design is not your cup of tea, the SBE3 is the gold standard for 3.5” shotguns. They are die-hard shotguns that can run in...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig P320 owners please

They haven’t really noticed any difference when firing. Nobody is complaining about anything. The straight trigger they put in the Xfive is beloved by all. Have a couple people that put that in their P320s.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig P320 owners please

Truth. We authorize the P320 and all 9mm variants including the X-Five and VTAC. We are an agency of 900 with officers buying their own guns off an approved list, and we have about a dozen X-Fives on the street right now as duty guns and about a half dozen X-Five VTACs. They have been very...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig 320 X-Five

900 officer department where officers have to buy their own guns from an approved list. Sig P320 is on the list, including the X-Five. Currently we have about a dozen X-Fives and half a dozen X-Five VTACs on the street with zero issues, and that number is growing very quickly. They are very...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Should lasers be trusted on concealed carry?

Truth. I have seen XDs with problems that they shouldn’t have. Every national level instructor I’ve trained with has had negative experiences with XDs. As a LEO firearms instructor in an agency of 900 where officers buy their own guns from a list of authorized guns, we will not touch...

Sidearms & Scatterguns 870 Barrel Porting?

Vang Comp is the place you need to look at. They elongate the forcing cone, and then you can get the option of barrel porting. This results in a significant drop in felt recoil, and it also creates a much tighter pattern for everything you shoot. Turn-around time is about 2 weeks. $255.
