Bucket List Wish Fulfilled GAP Rifle Ordered...

The only dumb fuck thing about buying a GAP is they are addictive. As far as addictions go though its a pretty healthy one. Might get the wife a little cross with you, but when they see the logic of the investment, way better than blow and hookers, and the burned gun powder doesn't make your...

    Brass seems to get shorter

I see the same thing with virgin lapua brass on first firing. Figured it was just the fire forming as the case expanded in girth and shoulder to the chamber it actually shrunk in OAL. When I FL size after 2-3x firing they grew in COAL and need trimming. I'm only FL sizing every 2-3 firings...

Breaking for the barrel to cool.

Nice thing about our range is it rarely gets over low-mid 70's and the wind is ALWAYS blowing. It's pretty much an air-conditioned fan.

    **ROUND4 !!** 100YARD+, 6group, 30round SHOOTOUT!

It's their barrel--not sure who makes it for Rhino, in-house or what. Like the gun but admit knowing very little about it. Buddy talked me into it in a trade. Ordered a t.r.i.m. Thingy I need to mount a bi-pod. Shot a few other groups and it has potential. Like most my long-guns, I don't do...

Don't have a lot if time behind gas guns but have a couple that sit neglected. Decided to give one of them some sunshine. No attachment for bipod, so this one was off bags. Kinda happy with couple if these--completely fell apart on the bottom left. Rhino Arms 556 Factory Fiocchi Match Ammo

Took another hide members advice to try the 140 hybrids at .050 off lands. So figured would throw another up here. Shot better when I didn't fall apart. GAP 6.5 Creedmoor Bartlien 26" barrel

    **ROUND4 !!** 100YARD+, 6group, 30round SHOOTOUT!

I try to let it cool. Today, since I was shooting three guns, I shot the Lapua off the bench and would shoot two groups with one of the other two rifles prone and then get up and shoot one through it. I got distracted talking to a couple folks and waited longer than I normally would between so...

    **ROUND4 !!** 100YARD+, 6group, 30round SHOOTOUT!

Well, gave it another try with a couple of the same guns from last month with new loads. The 308 is my primary toy for the season and the new load, 185 Juggs with Varget, is the bomb-diggity if I do my part—which is only a fraction of the time. Still need to work on the Creedmoor. The 338...

Chargemaster or beam scale? Your opinions...

CM here too. Loaded for years now, and have used all sorts of balance beam and digital scales to verify charge weights on my Dillon presses for handgun loads and every load for long range. Came to a conclusion--takes to damn long. Finally last year I got the charge master--still wondering...

    Surgeon 591 build

Very addictive. On any quality build, think the budget is missing a "-less" after. Very, very nice by the way.

Page 209 of this thread should be ranked as one of the best of this thread to date.

    Critique my steel target design...

Looks very cool, but also very heavy. I made the mistake when I bought my 66% IPSC targets in getting the thicker steel. My problem is we usually have to hike out to set them boogers up, and between multiple plates, driver, and posts--it sucks. My future goal it to learn to read the wind...

Do you remove muzzle brake during cleaning?

The nice thing of the badger FTE and mini, as well as RWS and others that have a bolt, easy, easy off when cleaning. I always take them off more to ensure no solvent left than anything, but also makes carbon more accessible. Do have a couple of rifles with badger thruster breaks that I don't...

    (CLOSED) **ROUND3 !!** (100YARD+) , Bolt-Action, 6group, 30round SHOOTOUT!

The OnTarget is very cool--looking back at the six submissions I did, all are within a .10 of each other--pretty darn interesting data of individual shootin over several guns and cartridges. If I had the program I'd run it for you Moboost--especially for all your hard work in these threads...

Thanks Moboost. Think it's funny I shot both 308's to .574 MOA average. Think the week link was the shooter's .574 capabilities.

Elite--agree completely about the bipod bounce on bench. I thought of that, brought a foam pad, which was a fail. I was a cluster as I had half of the gear I use for F/TR which I couldn't get the height right so was squeezing more than that rear bag was meant to be squeezed even before the...

Well another beautiful but blustery day on the range--love our home in Alaska, but being right on the coast, not a calm day to be found after early morning hours. Today had a headwind of 8-15 mph moving back forth from 10 to 2 o'clock. 308 Hospitaller 260 Hospitaller Not sure what all...

Thanks--but today I shot them like like my ol' Remington 600. Well, maybe not that bad--but sure is nice to know it was all me, not the rifle.

Last is another 308, GAP Hospitaller, standard spec build, so 24" barrel, Manners stock, shooting same load as above, just 42.8gr of Varget and seated a little shorter. Shot this one prone. The through the scope shot is a little canted, didn't notice until too late to take another...
