    Don't discount the 03-A3. I still shoot my grandfather's WWII issue rifle and I love it. .30-06 with a metal buttplate is not for the small of stature or week of heart, though!

    Thanks for the info guys. I've got a few bullet options available, so hopefully I can find something that this rifle likes. I loaded up some 168 and 180gr Sierras.     Thanks. I should have plenty of bearing surface. It's not the end of the world if I can't load these in a magazine, just annoying. I'm working up a ladder test, so I'll see what happens. I'm only trying to load 43-44.5gr of powder, so case volume shouldn't be an issue.
