    5.56 AR Only Loads

Expect to find a load around 23.0-23.5gns of 8208 with a 77otm. Obviously work up to that, but 23.2gns is a known go-to load. Much like 24.0gns of varget and a 77smk.

    SBR 5.56 ammo

Has anyone here tried using faster powders with ~60gn projectiles in an SBR to regain some velocity lost due to bbl length? I don't have quickload, but have heard that it can be done with H110 and 60/62's while still staying within pressure boundaries in a short bbl. Obviously not suitable for...

    Practical SBRs

Obviously a bit of a necro-post resurrection, but I am curious about what loads people have developed for short barrels using powders that would normally be faster than appropriate in standard length bbls. Any input or experience woukd be appreciated.

    223 Ackley Improved

I got an email last week from Berger. They are running 80.5's right now and they should be on shelves around the end of April. FYI

    223 Ackley Improved

Ditto to this on fire forming. I use 8208 with the 77tmk and 80.5's.

    22 creedmoor

IIRC, my freebore is .080 and it is the GAP spec'd reamer. I run the 80.5's and the boat tail jcn is just above the neck-shoulder jcn.

I run the 129 ABLR in mine and its devastating. Having said that, if you want some speed and a lighter pill, look at Maker-T-Rex or Cavity Back bullets for all copper hunting pills.

22 Creedmoor Short Barrels - best powders?

    69tmk, 39.0gn of Varget, Lapua SRP brass,, cci-450 @ 3510fps from 20" 8 and 9 tw bbls

They will work. Ideal....meh, but they do fine. I prefer the 129ablr, personally, but the 123 will work. Coyotes do not enjoy them either.

    6.5 Grendel

Just another example of "don't take internet load data as gospel" & always work up safely in your own gun. I admit, when he said the powder was reverse flowing out of the pierced primer, I may have snorted and nearly covered my dash in coffee. Hopefully he pulls that video so no one else tries...

His fingers and eyes are overrated.... Surprised his bolt still has lugs. Guy is gonna hurt himself

    What length bbl?

    6.5 Grendel

Sounds like h335 would be good under a 105 Cavity Back

    22 creedmoor

Whidden custom FL bushing dies. Sent them 3x pcs of fired brass a long time before this cartridge was even though about for mainstream and had them make a set of dies. But you can certainly get away with either 6 or 6.5cm dies and bushings.

    6.5 Grendel

It is still in the on-line manual. I just looked to be sure. https://www.hodgdonreloading.com/reloading-data-center

Rifle Scopes Bushnell SMRS 1-8.5 owners

I actually sent my scope into Tyler so he could use it as a pattern for the caps and their parallax adjustment grip. Both awesome products, to say the least.
