    Ar trigger?

I didn't know ar triggers were so controversial, it's ok it's all good. To give a little background: I purchased my AR out of paranoia, not from zombie attacks or a revolution but that any day another "event" could happen and cause people to scramble to the gunstore and sell everything out and...

    Sandbags or bipod?

I guess I'll shoot off bags on a bench to test handloads since that is what I am used to. My original plan was to use a bipod in front and a monopod in back but have heard bipods can have more "quirks" when shooting so I got a little nervous. I don't doubt some people can shoot both equally...

    Ar trigger?

I would agree that a "better" trigger won't necessarily make me a better shooter but I do think it would make it more enjoyable. I only put 45 rounds through it shooting an AR for my first time ever and I am hooked! The trigger bothered me a little on the bench but I think free standing it...

    223 dents?

What's the theory behind a fluted chamber? Are they suppose to feed better? Some of the lines are pretty pronounced, shows how much pressure a cartrige generates. And yes I am an addict! I think I'll throw those in the "if I'm desperate pile", not ready to let go yet :)

    Ar trigger?

What is everyone liking for an ar trigger? I have a brand new colt le6920 socom and I think the trigger is awfully stiff and not very smooth either

    223 dents?

I hope I can get the photo to load correctly. I picked up some range brass and I'm just curious how the verticle lines got into the brass, they are raised bumps I can easily feel with my fingernail. Also, the large dent, could this be used and fire formed out or should I discard brass that damaged?

    Sandbags or bipod?

Looking to do some load development ladder tests in the near future. I'm pretty sure sandbags would the most accurate off a bench but don't really know for sure. I've heard of preloading a bipod. Would I be best testing with sandbags then trying to learn how to shoot with a bipod? I'm looking at...

    Firearms seizure

I haven't been keeping up lately on the Connecticut thing but last I heard they haven't figured out the "enforcement" part, or so they said. Guess they must have it figured out. This is pretty much how it will be, someone will bring their gun to a public range or shoot where or when they aren't...

COLT M2012 CLR Rifle. Any feedback Good or Bad?

I have my eye on these also. One shop owner I talked to said he shot one and it shot amazing! He said 3 shot grp. 1/4" at 100 yds. with factory ammo, he said he isn't the best shooter either. Very hard to find any reviews on, so new. The model I want is the M2012SA, the "tactical" one. Curious...

    Question on trimming 308 brass

If you have a powerful magnifying glass take a look at the edge and look for a raised burr, as mentioned before a dull cutter might just swage the brass edge

    Lunch boxes: hard vs. soft??

I'm looking to buy a new lunchbox and only ever used the hard plastic ones. It seams to be a growing trend toward the soft type, it's getting difficult to find a hard one not to mention one I like. I'm not opposed to going with a soft lunch box but do they keep items as cool? Any thoughts on...

    Die shopping list help?

Ok, so trim length isn't critical to accuracy or overworking brass as much as it is a safety issue if it is too long.

And Yet Another Shoulder Bump Question

Looking at the photos in post #16 to me looks like the hornady headspace comparator, but is it actually a headspace gage? Or how does someone set those up?

.30-06 load development for long range?

I am very curious about this too. I hear of 308 and 338 lapua all the time. I actually considered the 30-06 but everything I read for accuracy and efficiency favored the 308 and 338 is more then I want to spend per shot right now. I've seen guys shoot the 30-06 very well at the range but I never...

    Die shopping list help?

Thanks for the help guys! I ended up getting a set of redding dies, a sizer and seater with a mic gage. Super excited about them! I was also turned on the hornady measuring system, the hollow red aluminum rod with the plastic rod inside it and the threaded dummy shell. I plan to use that for...

And Yet Another Shoulder Bump Question

The reloading world is so much more complex then I ever thought. I could be wrong but I doubt there are any books covering the variety and complexities of the various situations encountered in these threads. Good thing for knowledgable and experienced people will to help. Always interesting to...
