Re: Butler Creek Tactical scope covers now in stock! Got the new BC caps on this morning. Construction seems much better than the old design. All one piece with rubber tabs to hold the cap on when flipped open. There's even a small tab to lock the outer cap back and out of the way when...

    Rifle Scopes Nightforce Illumination

Re: Nightforce Illumination I've dialed the illumination down on mine nearly all the way. It's just enough to offer the contrast I need in low light. It doesn't take much to go from nothing to full illumination with the adjustment screw. Go in small increments until you get it right. Once...

Pepper Spray for daughter at college?

Re: Pepper Spray for daughter at college? Situational awareness and common sense will keep her free of trouble much better than OC spray. If it is OK for her to carry it on campus then I would suggest OC spray of at least 10% concentration with a marking dye. Again though possessing it is...

    Chest rig or war belt?

Re: Chest rig or war belt? I've got both and pretty much use my battle belt all the time now. Mine is set up pretty similar to the way you described. Very comfortable for all day range work. A suggestion if you train with multiple handguns check out G-Codes RTI system for holsters. It makes...

Re: 16-18 inch shorty rifles Ok guys after reading this thread over several times I want to cut one of my rifles down to 18". One question though. Is there a specific twist rate that works better in a .308 at 18"? Since my rifle is used for work and play I have to be sure that I'll have...

Suppressors Please Recommend .308 Can for my Bolt Savage

Re: Please Recommend .308 Can for my Bolt Savage I just conducted a number of tests for my agency comparing the Cyclone and 30-P. Both cans performed very well. In the end we have four 30-Ps heading our way. Great can, so was the Cyclone but the Thunderbeast suited our needs better.

Re: Law Enforcement Suppressor Question No play at all with the first cans. I've had more time to test the AAC Cyclone, it performs very well. Pretty darn quiet also.

    Suppressors Law Enforcement Suppressor Question

Re: Law Enforcement Suppressor Question We had a chance to test out the AAC Cyclone yesterday. I can say that it performed very well. No first round shift, good sound reduction, and repeatable within less than 1 moa when removed and reinstalled. We still have a bit more testing to do with it...

Rifle Scopes HDMR for police sniper?

Re: HDMR for police sniper? Personal experience from a number of low light missions with my departments team has taught me a few thing. Is an illuminated reticle necessary, no, however it does offer contrast when indexing on a threat in low light conditions. As far as the one setting...

    Suppressors Law Enforcement Suppressor Question

Re: Law Enforcement Suppressor Question Our clean cold and dirty cold shift without suppressors is so minimal there is no concern, no department policy because its not a concern ,we've documented many cold bore rounds clean, dirty and different weather conditions to support this. I'm sure...
