    They are nice enough but flaky. I called recently about a broken trimmer and they said they would get the parts right out. I had to call back twice over the next two months because the parts never went out or they sent half the parts I needed but they were always polite.

    I run a standard spring and carbine buffer on both my 10.5" and 11.5" rifles. Both cycle factory and my reloads. They both worked with Spikes H2 buffers as well.

    You shouldn't NEED to lap NF rings if you are tightening to the correct torque settings but you may have to if they aren't holding the scope tightly. I'd definitely verify and use locktite as recommended above if you are not already.

    Assuming its properly lubed and these are all factory rounds ... - have you checked the extractor tension? - how many rounds on the recoil springs? Lastly, the EMP is sensitive to limp wristing. Are you sure you have a firm grip or has another experienced shooter had the same issue?

    What exactly is the feed issue? Are the rounds getting stuck on the feed ramp, sticking on the top of the chamber, going in but not completely chambering, double feeding, of just not going all the way into battery? I assume those are all JHPs. His does it feed FMJ? I've never heard that...

    Trying to replicate 175gr black hills

    I'm pretty sure BH uses 175SMKs in their .308s or at least that was what I was told by several folks before I started trying to duplicate the factory round a couple years back. Using BH brass, 44.5gr of Varget produced nearly identical velocity (2,661fps) and accuracy out of my guns @ 2.795 OAL.

    What MOA base really depends on how far you need to shoot and your scope. If under ~400 yards then it's not really going to help you but won't hurt. If you get a 20 make sure your scope has more than 40MOA of vertical travel or you won't be able to zero at 100 yards. Most of the better scopes...

    Sorry no Winchester brass but I did have a few pieces of LC so here is a shot of 44.8 in an LC case and it comes to right below the neck. I also had some in the BH case to the right, which has been sized, and it came to right about the same place.

    If Win brass typically has more volume than other brands then 44.8 would fill less of the case than others especially if you are not bumping the shoulder. I'm heading out to finish the .45 I was loading this morning so I'll pop 44.8 in Winchester case and see where it comes.

    I'd triple check your scale. I use 44.5gr of Varget with 175SMKs and 44.5 comes to the shoulder of a Black Hills case.     I get more accuracy out of it than TAC and Varget for .223. Hope it works for you cuz thats a lot of powder for a first try.
