    6.5 creedmoor powder

I was at a show last week and saw Winchester had a new 6.5 powder out... I didn't have time to ask questions, anyone know when it might be available?? https://www.ssusa.org/articles/2019/10/22/hodgdon-announces-release-of-winchester-staball-65/ https://wwpowder.com/sb65/

    PVA John Hancock Rifle Status

I got the "waiting on parts" last month. Headed to a show this week and will start the search again for a rifle. Worst case use the credit for something they have in stock or towards a barrel for a different action and just move into a full custom.

Hornady 140 Gr. American Gunner 6.5 Creedmoor Bullet Failure

on the website (Hornady) they do mention hunting but specifically varmint and small game hunting. I'd find something with the ELD-X bullets if you are hunting anything bigger than coyote.

    PVA John Hancock Rifle Status

I guess that shows that they have the barrels for the JH that I ordered a year ago in stock and ready to go. Not 100% sure on the contour of the JH but at this point I'd take any of the listed 6.5cm 24-26" barrels if they could get me a JH barreled action and I can get the rest of the parts on...

    Patriot valley turn time

I ordered a John Hancock during the Black Friday sale 2018 ( Thanksgiving). Pretty basic order- The only two options were caliber- 6.5CM and color of stock- I ordered FDE. So the parts for the John Hancock rifle consist of KGR Bravo FDE chassis, Rock Creek 26" 6.5CM barrel, Timney 510 trigger...

    BadRock South Fork

Nice shooting! I am waiting on a rifle but had a chance to shoot the BadRock at the Precision Rifle Expo and was impressed with it. Good talking to the people from the factory on hand as well. Last year when I ordered my rifle (PVA JH, don't ask), I also ordered a Burris XTR II 5-25. At the...

    Precision Rifle Expo 2019

Great event. Can't wait for next year when I have bit more knowledge and experience. The classes were great as were the people. everyone I met was very helpful and it was nice to have a lot of the players in the precision rifle area all in one place at one time.

    PVA John Hancock Rifle Status

I'd be fine with prepaying for the remainder of the build. as long as I can get something in writing similar to their current sales deals where if it's not done in a certain amount of time there's a discount or refund. Otherwise send me a check back and move on with things. The whole JH fiasco...

    PVA John Hancock Rifle Status

My thinking exactly. I could buy a Nucleus and send it to them and get a barreled action made (sounds like pretty quickly) and then get a KRG bravo chassis and put a trigger in it and probably be in the same ballpark as the JH. BUT I can't use it for production class (maybe not a huge deal) and...

    PVA John Hancock Rifle Status

I'm in the same boat here (well, except I don't have a rifle). A couple of friends have shot some PRS rounds and I wanted to join in. I've got a 308 AR that I could shoot, but after doing a lot of research (analysis paralysis) last year around Thanksgiving they have a black friday deal for free...

    PVA John Hancock Rifle Status

It's disappointing. I had hoped to do a PRS shoot or two with some friends so had thought the JH would be a good way to get started in the sport and in the production class. I"m coming up on a year from when I ordered (when they had them advertised during black Friday) and it sounded like they...

PVA Status Updates: Hancock Rifle & NUCLEUS Barreled Action

I checked a few before I called- ARC looks like they are shipping Nucleus actions (from what I can gather on their website, says right hand actions in stock and ready to ship, sorry lefties (3-4 months)). KGR has bravos ready to ship. Timney seems to have triggers in stock (haven't really heard...

    6.5cm powder.

just getting into reloading 6.5CM as well. I had planned on H4350 to start with but have been hearing a lot about RL16. I know RL17 is out because of the temp swings but hadn't heard much about RL16 temp sensativity. Found this nice thread here about H4350 and RL16 with some temp/velocity...

PVA Status Updates: Hancock Rifle & NUCLEUS Barreled Action

I sent email but didn't get reply. So I called today, got the "waiting on parts from a supplier" answer. My order was from November 2018, what I thought would be a pretty standard setup (John Hancock, 6.5CM, FDE stock, RH). I knew there would be a wait for the rifle, and had hoped to get some...

    RCBS’s new “Chargemaster”

so it looks like it's the following: FX120i V3 full kit $960 FX120i scale alone $470 (after coupon) RCBS Matchmaster- $500-850??? Frankford Arsenal Itellidropper $200 Guess we'll have to wait and see when the actual units come out and how they perform. I had been thinking it'd get an FA...

How would you attach a sling to my rifle?

The types that would attach to the OE sling mounts, I haven't really had any issues with from a hunting standpoint. For the QR cup type (round barrel type QR with a push button) spend the extra and get a name brand QR (like Blue Force Gear that comes with the slings).

Wholesale Gun and Gear Buying Clubs.....worth it or a gimmick?

There is very little markup on many guns being sold these days (outside of custom rigs or limited production models). If it costs you much money to join one of these "clubs" it's not going to be worth it in the long run unless you a find exactly what you want, when you want it, and plan on...
