    I don't think it would come anywhere near $12,000 which is the post I was referring to but yes you could spend enough where the cost would be about the same as some custom rifles. My 1st gen cost me about a $1000.00 and I've changed out the handguard to a Seekins, the bolt shroud to an Anarchy...

    Also if you want with the RPR you can change out the barrel to a high end barrel and you can change the stock the trigger , the handguard etc. and customize it in many ways and still have plenty of money left over for ammo.

    I don't have a Gen 3 but good results can be had with either one. I'd recommend buying a box of each and seeing which one yours likes better.

    I think the Timney is worth it but you may not. If you can find someone that has an RPR with one in your area I'd check with them if you could try theirs. Are you in the New England area? If you are depending on where you are I'd let you try mine.

    I've got the Vortex Razor 4.5-27 and I'm very pleased with it. It's a very good scope and I believe you would be pleased with it. It is on the heavier side though so if you're concerned about weight you may want to consider others.
