    Savage FCP-K and FLCP-K discontinued.

Are they going to come out with a replacement?

    Savage FCP-K and FLCP-K discontinued.

They should have offered more calibers especially in the 260 category, in both LH and RH models. They are way behind on that one. I would have bought a LH 260.

What media player for AB mobile?

What is the cheapest media player for the Applied Ballistics mobile program? A Samsung media player was recommended but seems rather high. Actually, I'm not sure which one will work and which won't. I don't use cell phones. What about refurbished products? Thanks.

    Sig1911 .22LR or .22LR conversion kit

GSG is the same as a Sig? I compared the Sig, GSG and Walther/Colt at Gander Mountain and the Sigs' weight seemed a lot closer to a 1911 than the GSG or Walter. The Walther was a disappointment because of how rough the action was. It is hard to believe they are the same gun.

Rifle Scopes SWFA SS Fixed Magnification

I've had the 10X MOA/MIL on a CZ 452A .22LR for 3 years and one winter it was on a 30/06 for 900 yard practice. It's had a lot of use and is still good. I'd get the MIL/MIL next time. I'd prefer a 20X for 1000 yards but not the SS20X. Never looked through one though.

Rifle Scopes Why not an MOA-Dot instead of mil-dot?

The hash marks in MOA look just as complicated as mils. I haven't had time to really study them but it looks like Mils will reign. Thanks for your explanations.

Rifle Scopes Why not an MOA-Dot instead of mil-dot?

Why is there a mil-dot but no MOA-dot? I doubt if there is any advantage, just wondering. I do think shooters would consider MOA before mils because it is the standard. MOA hash marks sound good but some are hard to see under some conditions so I've read.

    Tell me about .243 Win

Re: Tell me about .243 Win If I remember right, the .243 has about half the energy of a 30/06.

    Tell me about .243 Win

Re: Tell me about .243 Win I also like the .243 but as a sniper round wouldn't it be lacking at 1000 yards? It is ok for comp but what about the real thing?

    "Best 30-06" currently made?

Re: "Best 30-06" currently made? Seems to me .308 ammo would be hard to find with the panic going on and most everybody buying a .308 rifle. I have a 30/06 with plenty of brass.

    Scope with adequate elevation adjustment

Re: Scope with adequate elevation adjustment I've had a SS 10x on my .22 for 3 years and will get out to 350 yards easily. I used Burris inserts and my Leupold Var-XIII 3.5-10x to get close at 50 yards than zeroed. That left enough elevation to get to 275 yards if nothing changed.

Rifle Scopes SS16x vs Sightron 16x

I did a lot of searching on the Sightron and didn't find much. Is there a reason they aren't popular? I guess they are on sale for $379.00 I have a SS 10X and its ok but the turrents sometimes slip on readings. The SS scopes have Mils now which I would like to try. One thing about the SS16X I...

Rifle Scopes Sightron SIII 16x vs SS 16x

How does the Sightron compare to the SS in low light conditions? The SS16 washes out so I have been told. For another $100 the Sightron 16 or 20 can be bought. I would prefer an SIII624x50lr scope but $750 is pretty steep. Thanks.

Swfa 16x and 10x on rimfires?

Re: Swfa 16x and 10x on rimfires? My 452 American has the 10X on it and has had a lot of use the last 3 1/2 years from 25-350 yards. It is a better all around than the 16 but usually requires a spotting scope at 200 yards. If light conditions don't matter and for shooting targets only, I...

Rifle Scopes First Impressions SWFA SS 16x42 Mil-Quad

Re: First Impressions SWFA SS 16x42 Mil-Quad Let us know how well you can see just as it is getting light or dark with different backgrounds will you? I understand the 16x will "wash out" Thank you.

Rimfire F-Class/ High Power practice match

Re: Rimfire F-Class/ High Power practice match Our local range only shoots traditional rimfire matches. Too boring for me. I have been practicing F class with my .22 RF with a 1000 yard target downsized for 100. Mostly I shoot the .22 at 200 yards, but I think the first method shows me...

Rifle Scopes Convert mils to MOA?

Re: Convert mils to MOA? Now that I know JBM can be done in MIls that really simplifies things. Looks like I will have to reconsider the mil quad. I didn't know you could get a mil reticule with Moa adjustments. I wouldn't go that route either. Thanks.
