    22 Zero Range?

I use a 50 yard zero. But like above, 25yds is really close to being the same. My data shows .2mil high at 25yds, using a 50yd zero, which works out to about 0.18".

Mine felt like that with CCI SV and Eley Subsonic. But with anything SK, it felt perfect. I have a few hundred rounds through mine so far.

Barrel break in yes or no

I have never done any break in routine. I'll generally fire about 20 rounds for the first outing, then clean. After that, I don't clean very often unless I've discovered some other reason why I need to.

    Bighorn Origin Build Thread

I'm not worried about saving a few bucks... just really anxious to get the gun together is all. I always prefer to support the maker of anything that I buy whenever I can.

I also have an NX8 in 4-32x50. I have a 40moa base and can zero at 50 yards with quite a bit left over. I just checked and I have 23 mils up and 4.8 mils down with a 50 yard zero.

    Bighorn Origin Build Thread

I've had one on order since 1/9. I'm hoping it will be ready soon. I didn't find out until after I put down the deposit that I few other places had them in stock. Wish I would have looked around better first. Oh well. What's done is done... just gotta wait it out now. It's the last piece I need...

Bottom Metal for M5 Inletting. Badger or Hawkins or... Surgeon?

I have a Surgeon and a Hawkins on hand. Both are quality pieces and I see no functional difference between the two. The Surgeon finish is really matte, and the Hawkins a bit more semigloss. The machined edges on the Hawkins aren't radiuses as much and are a little sharper. The mag-well feels a...

Origin and stock inlet for barrels

I just bought an off the shelf PRS1 that was inlet for a Heavy Palma. This is for a 6DASHER build I have going with an Origin. My barrel is a Proof Competition contour, which is substantially heavier than that. Like WAY heavier. I opened up the channel myself in about an hour with some sandpaper...

My friend and I were out for a bit earlier today shooting at 100 and 200 yards. It was about 34 degrees out with a 2-6mph full value crosswind. I had some SK Standard+ and Pistol Match. Neither are handpicked/ tested lots or anything.. just random stuff. We had a 5" plate @200. As far as...

Beautiful trio! I have a Manners PRS2 ordered for mine. I am a few months in so far. I picked up a PRS1 for a Zermatt Origin 6Dasher build that I have going and really like it. That flat fore end is really stable on a bag. It doesn't feel bad in the hand either. I was worried at first that it...

    Calvin Elite for Remington Clone

Yep. They come right off. I used a washer on mine to take up the space where the stop used to be so that the bolt didn't protrude too far through the trigger housing. That might not be necessary though. I really like my Calvin Elite so much that I bought a second one for a new build. I have a...

    Bighorn Origin Build Thread

I put in an order on 1.9 and had an email confirming on 1.10. I saw where people were sometimes seeing them ship a week or so after ordering so I had my hopes up for that. My invoice has a ship date of 3.20.20. I hope it is finished up sooner! I have all my other parts already collected and...

If only rimfire ammunition could be constructed to the same level as Vudoos, THEN we would really be in business!! I had never dreamed that I would ever spend what I have on my V-22 on ANY .22lr, but having spent time behind it, I have No regrets at all.

    Bighorn Origin Build Thread

I put a deposit on an Origin last week. It will be my first custom centerfire. I've only had Remingtons before. I am planning on a Bartlein 26" M24 contoured barrel chambered in 6BR. From what I have read, it sounds like the Origin is a really good receiver for the 6BR and it's offshoots as far...

I would LOVE a mini centerfire done Vudoo style. It would be great to see someone make a PROPER functioning 20 Vartarg REPEATER!! That cartridge ticks a lot of boxes in my amateur opinion: easy to make brass whether from .223 or .221 Fireball, is a SHORT round, rimless, very efficient, shoots...

I bought a barreled acton from Mile High about a month ago. It has the first version FCG. Regardless, if I miss a shot, it is my fault!

Those look great! I really like the idea of having the option of a more low profile, 5 rounder. Any idea of when they might be up on the site for sale?

    .22lr zero ???

I like to use a 50 yard zero. 20 and 50 are just about identical for me. I sometimes fire a few rounds in my back yard, which is about 20 yards. It makes it nice and simple to get a rough 50 yard zero before I head out somewhere.

    Suppressor wrap?

I always use a wrap on my AAC Element 2 (which isn't aluminum). I would never need it for the heat, but instead use it because it looks really neat and it helps protect my suppressor from getting banged around on barricades and such.

Is this a good ammo to buy?

The top photo is the way the packaging used to look. The bottom is what is current. They may just be using an older stock photo. That is a real good price for it.
