    If you want quiet youre going to need a big can. The little 8" cans arent going to get it done. I too have an SBR 458, 9.5" to be exact and thats a big chore to tame. Without the can in broad daylight it shoots a 2' flame out of the muzzle and rattles the rafters even without a muzzle brake...

    If your JP has the adjustable gas block just shut off the gas and cycle it with the charge handle. Supersonic 308 will sound like a 22 pistol. Audible for sure but wont rattle the windows of the neighbors.
