    This is for anyone searching up the VR-10 and I know this thread is OLD! That was the worst rifle ever. Stupid heavy with steel receivers, they had m4 cuts on the barrel extension and not on the receiver, the thing didn't feed at all out of the mags...........probably one of the worst ar10's out...

    Re: Need help with ring height Hey man i have a remington 700 308 with a NF F1 3.5-15x50mm and i run a nightforce 20 moa base and i run the low .855 rings and its perfect height! It sits about 1/8-3/16 above the barrel and i didnt have to cut off the base either.
