    Early Waffen Heer Double Claw

I have been busy and taking classes so my time has been occupied. It was quite a nice surprise to come back to all of this though!

    Gew 98 Sniper WW1

Wow, nice set up! I am hoping to build a clone of one of these at some point. I have seen a couple other ways that they also locked and even numbered the base screws on these. Thanks for sharing!

    German High turret sniper

Great looking High Turret! That Ajack with the sunshade creates such a great profile on these. Here is a pic of my byf 44 ex HT sporter rescue that I brought back to its former glory.

Opinions, Please, on Turning a Very Nice 1903A3 into a 1903A1

As others have stated why not try to rescue a sporter that was already D&T'd? I may be wrong but the reproduction snipers may have been available with match barrels.

    WW2 K98 Sniper rifle?

Thanks! All of them are clones except for the High Turret K-98k (3rd down from the top). That one was a sporter rescue that I purchased that had the HT holes and solder still visible. I grabbed it because it is the closest I will ever get to being able to afford a real German sniper. I then was...

    Winchester M70

Congrats on your purchase! I will be following this one since it's a build I would like to do someday. I know exactly what you mean about purchasing from Cabela's, I did it once with my C&R and they screwed it all up and had me there for hours. I vowed to never buy from them again unless it...

    WW2 K98 Sniper rifle?

This ^^^^^^^. As stated the Germans never used split ring turret mounts. They used solder rings. These sniper "clone" builds are usually worth the sum of the parts used. Keep in mind there is an advantage to having the split rings in case he ever wanted to put a more modern optic on it. It...

    1903 Winchester A5 Build

Hey guys, Eventually I would like to have a couple of 1903 sniper clones built. One of the rifles I would like to do is the 1903 with the Winchester A5 scope. These scopes don't come up for sale to often and when they do it is still a 100 year old optic and may have a few issues. So is...

    1903a4?

As far as the reproductions go I believe some of them were made with criterion barrels (I don't believe it was Gibbs). From what I have heard these rifles with the criterion barrels have been dominating the Vintage Sniper Matches. They pop up for sale from time to time in the $800-1200 range.
