Gunsmithing What lube are you guys running?

Mobil 1 and Redline CV-2 grease; whichever is closer to my reach on bolt gun lugs. Rotella T3 to oil AK and AR bolts, with the above grease on the lugs. I like my auto rifles to be a wet, dripping mess.

    Tac Ops:

Ah, wish you were closer so you could run mine. As for the suppressor, we all hear stupid stuff eventually, but there was a guy next to me blasting away with his AR or something, just going to town having a blast. Was he hitting his target? Probably not, but he wasn't hitting mine. Good for...

    Tac Ops:

I've had a Tango 51, twice. I have a Delta 55 Swede. I have a suppressor from Mike for that Swede. Mike and I are still very early in the conception/brainstorming phase of building two rifles for my kids. Mikes work is flawless, and the allure of the product is justified. However, you always...

Diamondback HD bed cover ... worth the extra bucks?

    Excellent! Thanks.

Diamondback HD bed cover ... worth the extra bucks?

First pic I found. Truck with two quads on the bed. My work laptop should have another picture or two.

Diamondback HD bed cover ... worth the extra bucks?

It worked, and it worked great. Keep in mind they were sport quads and not monster utility quads. I'd post a photo but I don't have any hosting since the PhotoBucket crash, and don't really care to bother with it. With a bit of skill and some courage until you figure it out, two sport quads...

Diamondback HD bed cover ... worth the extra bucks?

I had DiamondBack Line-X it prior to shipping to me. This was in 2009.

Diamondback HD bed cover ... worth the extra bucks?

I had one- loved it. Two four wheelers would go up top and all the camping gear/fuel/gear/clothes/food//ramps/stuff would be locked up in the bed staying nice and dry and locked away from thieves. I had mine Line-X coated to better match my dark blue truck.

    Long Action Target Caliber

Another vote for 6.5x55 Swede. Very good round for a LA. I have a TacOps in 6.5 Swede and I'm extremely happy with and pleased by it. I sold off everything .308 after getting this Swede.

SH - What You Remember from the Past?

This thread has been a walk down memory lane. I've been a lurker for a very long time, usually popping up to by a TacOps rifle or three, but some of the names and threads mentioned bring back some hilarious memories form 10-15 YEARS ago. Holy shit, 10-15 YEARS ago. WTF. Very glad to see...

Mike R. from Tac Ops - I'm calling you out!!!

I needed a challenge. Your rifles put all the workload and responsibility for failure onto the user. .188 was rounds 6-10 down the barrel. Rounds 1-5 were used to sight in the scope. That's the only group I've ever bothered to measure. And no joke, it shoots even tighter with its TacOps...

Mike R. from Tac Ops - I'm calling you out!!!

If it was from a gentleman in the Midwest about 4 years ago, I bought that unfired masterpiece. It shoots .188's on a bipod with no rear bag.

    Lapping your rings

I've been buying USO, Loopy MkIV, and Nightforce rings and parking them on top of everything from CZ452's, up to Tactical Operations Tangos and Deltas. I've always bolted them down at the same time with a precision alignment bar, as well as very lightly lapped them. My reasoning behind putting...

Rifle Scopes NF NXS Compact Questions

Illegal illumination means you can not use a lighting method to illuminate your prey during the hunt, i.e. spotlighting. Illegal illumination while hunting has nothing to do with illuminated reticles.

    6.5x55 Swede users?

I'm running 44.6g of Accurate 4350 in Nosler brass through a Tactical Operations Swede. I believe the 5-shot picture below speaks for itself.

Getting the itch for a TacOps. Questions for those that have shot these

With Mike, "close enough" is not good enough. "Close enough" means there is error and Mike does not accept error. The man is very smart and very OCD. Where most builders take measurements into the thousandths, Mike takes them into the millionths. "Close enough" does not exist in Mikes...

    Tango 51 KIlls Armed Assailant

You bring up LAPD shootings. Why? LAPD covers the City of Los Angeles. Bellflower is not in the City of Los Angles, and LAPD had NOTHING to do with this shoot. This shoot was conducted in Los Angeles County, by the Los Angles Sheriffs Department Special Enforcement Bureau Special Weapons...

Getting the itch for a TacOps. Questions for those that have shot these

My take- They're boring. They're boringly accurate. You know exactly where the bullet will hit before you squeeze the trigger. Sometimes I get bored shooting my Tango-51 with no wind as I know what will happen. At least with wind there is some challenge and some unknown. The quality is top...

Need GTG Hide member in/near Quantico

Re: Need GTG Hide member in/near Quantico I'm a bit out of the way in Annapolis but you can store your stuff here if need-be. My wife was at WR for a bit so I know what it means to visit so for something like some asinine gun laws to get in the way is terrible. Depending on the time of day...
