    That's the point, if the bullet has enough runout to cause a 'flyer' you can't see it by eye. Most people's processes have no quality control. Runout is one cause of group dispersion. One loading may shoot ok, then the next does not because the process used does not adequately control runout...

    Best Manfrotto head for use with hog saddle

    I got my PIG last week. On a 'portable' (i.e. cheap and light) tripod with my AX I am holding 1 Moa sitting or kneeling easy. Great bit of kit, it lets me get a great steady rest while taking the weight of the beast pointing down range for hours. Best bit of kit I have other than the AX itself.

    Yes 308 (or 243, 708…)! Load a 155gr Hybrid and it gets damn close to 260 long range ballistic performance and recoil levels You can't load 180gr bullets in 260 never mind 200 + or 55gr for that matter. The benefits of the improved ballistics of the 260 are more apparent at 800 yards out...

    Agreed on the model being wrong, so I am trying to fix my model. There are only so many variable which is why I am stumped !! I will remeasure scope height. Chrono was 20' away. Still not convinced that the numbers are right.

    OK this is melting my head. Shooting an AX 308, NXS 5.5-22 x56, 168gr TAP. Bullet is about 0.25 - 0.5" high at 105 so zero'd about 130 yards. Shooting left over little bits of clays at 311 yards consistently with 3.25 MOA. MOAR reticle. Same dope dialling or holding. Not an issue...

    Do some searching on the Hide. There was a thread which compared the results from the MS V2 with other chrony's and looked at poi shift. Quite a few guys found there was a poi shift up but that was V1.

    7mm-08 vs .260

    708 can put a 180 grain bullet downrange which is a big advantage over the 260 140 gr for hunting. Less recoil with 300 Win Mag trajectory for the 260 - great for 1000 targets but you really need a 26" barrel to keep the velocity up. Your call
