Tired of Companies who do not know the law

CZ doesn't normally sell direct to the public. They use the Distributor network. What site did you see this on and does that site sell to the public? That site might be a FFL only site.

That would be what they go for if all correct and has papers.

    Original M1-C at the LGS

what kind of price is on the M1-C? That will tell you a lot about the rifle. I think the CMP auctioned the M1-C's they had. Not a common rifle.

22LR Trainer for Son- stock size/LOP?

The formula is the same as it is for shotguns. Put the arm at 90 degrees. With the finger in the trigger guard, the butt should meet the upper arm at the elbow. Trouble with this is kids can grow fast. You might look into an adjustable butt plate so the rifle will fit him as he grows.

Winchester 72 and Redfield Peep Sight Question

You could put a Redfield or lyman front sight on it to match the 75. You will want a 60 series or Lyman 17 series for it.

    Winchester ammo question

Right now, 22 ammo is scarce. Gunshows want more than it's worth because of the ammo is not out there. Nobody really knows why it isn't hitting the market right now. I've seen asking prices in the 50+ range for a brick of this type of ammo. I buy Eley most of the time, at its normal price.

    Budapest M95 Carbine

Don't think ammo is available for it anymore. There used to be some WWII German ammo out there, but I think it has dried up. It was corrosive ammo as well. Small Arms of the World has more info on these. I'll check my copy and post more info.

H&R Biathalon rifle? Some help from the experts please.

I have several sets of Palmas, good sights for their day. They were added later as the Palma didn't come out till 72 or so. What front sight is on it? They didn't make a Palma front sight They used either the Olympic, International small bore or International Big bore sights. Do you have...

H&R Biathalon rifle? Some help from the experts please.

From a quick search, there were two Medalist models that were in production in the late 1940's. The model 450 and 451. The 450 was discontinued during the first run of these, 1948-1950. They made the 451 again from 1959-1961. H&R did have a habit of starting serial numbers over on different...

H&R Biathalon rifle? Some help from the experts please.

I'm interested in the rifle as I collect H&R Reising series rifles. This one uses the same magazine as you have determined. PM me when you figure out a price. I don't want to venture a guess as I'm interested in it.

    Is anyone else worried?

One of my major pet peeves is trigger pull weight. Everyone wants a super light trigger, but they don't even know how to take advantage of that trigger. Their groups are better with the light trigger because they don't have any trigger control. I remember shoot my Anschutz 1411 with a 2 ounce...

Ruger 514 I picked up at a gun show

Way less than it's worth. The guy had $450 on it. That is with the extra grips, case and extra mag.

Ruger 514 I picked up at a gun show

I picked this up at a gun show this past weekend. It is a 5 1/4" barrel Mark I made in 1951/52, These are very rare as they only made a few from late 1951-1957. It has a heavy taper barrel with target Micro rear sight. Ruger used Micro sights till they designed their own. This one has been...

Anyone shooting the ol' CMP Mossberg 44US, or built one up?

Mine is from the second lot sold. The first lot had Lyman sights. Some of the last lots were never issued and went through rebuilds after the war. I had two of these that I gave to my nephews. One from the 4th and the other from the 5th. Both parkerized versions. That was before I started...

Leatherwood USMC replica on Rem 40x?

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is base spacing. The external scope need 7.2 inch spacing for 1/4 inch clicks. Shorted and you get higher movement per click. Longer you get less movement. The USMC rifle pictured above would have around 1/16 inch clicks. Might be less that that. This limits...

Anyone shooting the ol' CMP Mossberg 44US, or built one up?

The 44USc was not a military contract rifle. Just a standard civilian model made after the war. I collect military trainers and have a blued 44US in my collection. The Parkerized ones have been rebuilt by the military. Here is a pic of mine: The rifle on the right.
