    Mammoth 2025

Signed up for Mammoth 2. Question: is each mile timed or is it an accumulation of the total ruck? I.e. can you bank minutes early in the ruck to use later in the ruck?

Did Steiner just quietly build the MPO we have all been asking for? H6xi

Having a 10 mil tree on a hunting optic seems pointless. 5 mils vertical and horizontal should be sufficient and open up the field of view. I’d be all over this optic with a simpler mil reticle.

    6.5 PRC 100 ELD VT

Looking for some powder/charge ideas for the 6.5 PRC with the 100 eld vt. Thought it might make a pretty wild coyote round at about 3,400 fps or so. Thanks y’all.

Burris XTR Pro or Zeiss S3

S3. I prefer the thicker reticle compared to the SCR2. I actually felt the SCR2 was too thin in my XTR IIIs. I haven’t spent much time behind the pro to compare to the Zeiss, but the S3 glass is pretty phenomenal. Neither one will hold you back, but my vote goes to Zeiss as I greatly prefer the...

    Hornady on tuners.

So what’s the actual percentage it increased your accuracy?

    Hornady on tuners.

But your argument is you wouldn’t be capable of shooting these small groups without your tuner set on a specific setting…..?

Staked castle nut or not ?

I can't believe this thread has made it two pages. Staking is easy and provides a level of insurance that's practically free. A staked castle nut is still easy to brake loose. You can stake it again, it's not one and done. It doesn't take a mongo amount of strength and material movement to...

Point me towards a "Competition" worthy pistol.

I’d echo the statement that the biggest upgrade you could do is a dot sight and train with it a bunch. I’ve been eyeballing the Dan Wesson DWX as something I may eventually jump into, but they’re not offered in an OR version yet in the full size. I think I’d stick with the G17 or another poly...

I bet this has never happened to you

Let's ignore 3,315 is nothing crazy out of a gasser..... while Hodgon's reloading data shows a max of about 3,100 fps across all of their tested powders for an 85.5.
